Anyone else thinks the Vid for the TSL1 was way better? In basically all aspects? The old one hyped me, the new one would, f I wouldn't know what it is about, make me wonder if this is a tournament for some card game and did not in the least give me the impression that this is by far the biggest SC/BW tournament outside of Korea... In fact it does not give me any feel of *greatness* at all.
I don't like the comic portraits, I don't like the soundtrack, I don't like the "card" thing. I don't like the whole intro. :/

Luckily everything else about this TSL is awesome

I think this one is much better, it looks more professional. I do not like the cartoon character portraits though, they are very well drawn but it doesn't go well with the clean professional look of the video, nor the rest of the graphics used. I think having photographs of the players would have been much better.

Music wise we were limited by what OWN music people were willing to let us use for free, because we couldn't risk going with copyrighted music again. TSL is too big. So I can see where you're coming from in that regard, and while I agree that it's maybe not as good as it could be I still think it's pretty good...

Other than the Audio I think this one is better than the TSL1 video...
I'm not the expert on this, since I don't work on stuff like that, but I think it's simply much easier to make it look coherent this way instead of using photographs that have been made by as many different amateurs as there are players...

I really do like the intro. In my opinion the presentation of the sponsor as well as iccup looks way more professional than it was in TSL1. Also I really do like that every player is mentioned in the intro (maybe they forgot terran(?), haven't noticed that myself tho - thought every player is at least in the last scene / the short version).

What I'm missing tho is something like the "probe intro" from TSL 1. I don't exactly remember how it was used in TSL1, but it was stamping. It's not the probe itself but the focus on the star. The symbol everyone will immediately imagine when he thinks of TSL, or think of TSL when he see the star.
Something like the hype video when TSL 2 was announced.

Edit: Have just watched the tsl2 intro again and well, there are less players in the last scene than i thought. still, the few players who are not in that scene are shown before except terran and tarson. Since several players are shown twice i don't really like that.
I have thought maybe they didn't send a picture so there is no portrait, but Tarson's was shown in the player preview of his game.

Well, I don't know about everyone else, but I like this intro video. Although I do agree, instead of showing some players twice, everyone should be accounted for, but seeing as I've done pictures like this before, chances are they just never submitted a photo.

hm... I like both the old an the new one. And it was definetly the best choice to make something completely new for the TSL2. As for the probe intro.. i havent seen it and just watched it a few minutes ago. .. funny :D
In my opinion both opnenings are very good.

I like the new one much better. It seems cleaner and more professional. The hand-drawn players look pretty cool, IMO.
