It's something I had thought about the past few days. Even though a player might not be actively looking to abuse or cheat; their opponent can just as easily throw a game or play matches they know they will lose to see a player the want to advance do so. I don't think it's something that's easy to police or enforce and even if you could; how do you punish the TSL participant for not actually doing anything wrong other than beating a weaker opponent?

Guess it's all about the Idra hate..
Lol, wouldn't be surprised if Idra haters with low B+ accounts start throwing wins at Morrow.

I love watching people who play to win at all costs. I'm glad morrow is doing exactly what he needs to do in order to get the #1 spot, even though he clearly isn't the best (or 2nd best) player in this ladder. Plus him vs nony would be a much better series than idra vs nony IMO

This post made me cringe. If here were to show anyone anything he wouldn't dodge top TSL players or Koreans. T____T
Crossing fingers for Morrow not taking #1.

Oh man calm down - its just a funny thought! And if it really happens its gonna be a big bang and talk for days - that makes it fun to me!
I dont think it does really matter if Idra kills someone in Q3 or after, does it? And morrow got 11000 points not just by pure luck even though he is not as good as Idra.
The only thing why I d hate it to happen is, that it would render the amazing Idra vs Ret something Idra might regret and not do again, which would be a big loss - the game made me an Idra fan...

I wonder how the admins will enforce the rule as it pertains to kolll vs sziky. The rule is as follows:
Rule 2 - Example: If you are playing the same player, 3-0, 4-1, 5-2 would be acceptable scores, but 4-0 or 5-1 would not be. Any violations will result in point penalties.
Now, kolll beat sziky 3-0, then lost 1-2 to him just recently. However, he won the first game of the second three game series, meaning at that moment in time he was 4-0 vs. sziky. The rule can be interpreted two ways:
1) If at any point in time you have a 4+ win differential against the same opponent within a 24 hour period, you have broken the rule.
2) If, after the 24 period starting with the first game has elapsed, you have a 4+ win differential against the same opponent, you have broken the rule.
Kolll would be guilty of #1, but not #2 (although if he keeps playing sziky he could potentially violate #2 as well).

You're just taking all of this way more seriously than most (I think) mOrrow supporters here I for one don't hate Idra, if anything I respect him for the unmatched dedication he puts in BW, but all this mOrrow stuff starting from the initial drama to this last minute snipe attempt is just pure entertainment.

peoples true colars are showing towards the end haha, gotta be hard to turn down friends wanting to give you points when you need them so badly

the other thing about bad players being willing to get 3-0'd is that they just want to play someone famous/good/high ranked.
it's kinda funny because when people play the ladder in a way tthat is not in their best interest points-wise, spectators dont like that. they think they're giving their points away and that the winner doesnt deserve the points. but at the opposite extreme, people who behave in a way purely based on what is in their best interest points-wise, well spectators dont like that either.

I'm not worked up, just very surprised. I would have expected the opposite reaction.
And I do think it matters to Idra s opponent if he indeed were to drop to qualifiers 3. If you invested that much time and hard work in a ladder you obviously want to go as far as possible.

most of these ranks are fake, well see whos for real once the tournament starts

I'm gonna cry if Dreiven doesn't make it :'(
Mondi vs Dreiven was the best match of TSL1 imo :'(

Morrow definatly has a chance for 1st!... And Koll and Shawndi making top 48 just in time. Too bad for Leg =(.

The opponent might not even intend to loose on purpose. This might just be the best time of the year to get a game vs. top foreign players.
I don't think you can or should punish that. As long as no one admits cheating it's totally valid. In dubio pro reo.

Well kolll lost quite some points losing to two B+ players today - as long as SD_DS is playing a proper game it should be ok. But I dont like the games' flavour...
