This thread is for discussing recent bans. Don't discuss other topics here. Take it to website feedback if you disagree with a ban or want to raise an issue. PanDa1 was just banned by CTStalker.
That account was created on 2011-07-11 01:47:25 and had 6 posts.
Reason: Don't ban dodge. It was two days ffs. Your original ban is going to be extended to a week. Why was this considered a band dodge? He made the account when his original account was hacked, so it shouldn't be a big deal (unless he wasn't hacked after all).
PS: Wish you best of luck in Japan MaxField

It's using the account to avoid the punishment for your actions. Even if the account was made fur other reasons at another point in time, the intention of its use at the current moment is dictated by the outcomes of his original account.

How do you alert the admins that you are hacked if you aren't allowed to make a new Account though? Of course this only applies if the Hacker did something to make your account get banned

Ask for a mod in IRC? Ask for a friend to help you? This seems to be such an extreme and unusual situation that it doesn't really need to be considerate heavily when making the rules in my opinion.

I think Live Report threads might have recently desensitized (Read:Rotted) my brain. ilmman was just banned by Beyonder.
That account was created on 2010-09-10 23:36:11 and had 364 posts.
Reason: Ive seen many bad posters in my time, but youre certainly among the worst. Your track record is almost as bad as your reply to the thread about Sheth. Disgusting.
I don't think his posts were.. disgusting. Just mediocre with little effort. Could anyone show me what he says that's so bad (Other than the temp ban post in the Painuser thread)

Your new account gets banned, but you can p.m the staff still.

I dunno, I think this post was pretty bad. I'd have banned him myself if I had the power (or at least reported it if I had the button). I thought we were past this sort of thing here on TL, but apparently I was wrong

yer im suspecting he is getting bullied. I dont see why he would throw away an experience like that so easily. I mean just look at him, even i would take measures to bully him just because of the way he looks. User was banned for this post.
Edit: from the Sheth leaving Korea thread

I missed that one, you're right that is just shit posting. There's a lot of places you can make fun of professional players but at the end of the day, internet man, you can't do it here.
I'm easily offended by people making fun of pro gamers and not so easily offended when people make fun of the support workers (casters, interviewers, Sporrer).
Thanks Aflixion!

Yeah, I've stopped even reading official forums (Blizzard, Bioware, anything) to get away from the bad posters, then I find that. I was reading comments on Darth Hater the other day (for Star Wars: The Old Republic, in case you didn't know) and found one that said they posted one positive comment about an article they liked on the official SWTOR site. Because he didn't post saying it was a bad article, he was instantly labelled a suck-up fanboy trying to get into beta. Ridiculous...
Although, I will admit I read the official Battle.net forums when I want some lulz. "How is 2 rax balanced?"
|
The only lulz I've ever truly had on the battle.net forum was when I read diary of a supply depot. That was excellent. Also I believe it was in August 2010.

Let's keep this on topic. Baal was banned recently. He had a whole bunch of posts but he's quite the inflammatory character!

Really? I thought he was banned ages ago. Can't find anything in the recent listings. Link?

So yeah, this wasn't gongryong it was me. I was trying to be funny and make a parody of the whole gongryong saga. I got IP banned before the fake Harem and pandemik accounts joined in too.
The joke didn't seem to go down too well. I am sorry to everyone who took umbrage to it, it wasn't meant to be offensive. I guess it just wasn't as funny as I thought.

That might be the most banned users i've seen in one thread.

There was a thread with a exceptionally poorly written OP (muddled grammar) and a title that was barely related to the OP. People posted mainly in response to the title, but since the OP was supposedly not what the title was about, almost everyone on the first 2 pages for warned or banned.
I'm still jaded about that thread, since when 99% of the posts are on one thing, and the mod thinks its about something else, it's probably time to rethink your position on what its really about. Anyway, that was the biggest ban trap I've seen. This was awhile ago, though.

A bunch of idiots don't get to set precedent for how a thread should follow.

Yes, that was it. I'm almost certain he did the overlord one as well but so many copycats popped up after the initial success I just remember those two. The overlord one was good. I'm going to have a look for it and try to preserve it in Blogs. http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=243520

User was temp banned for this post. I was doing the live report and still had enough time to read that post and think I'd see it again on a certain favorite thread.
