It’s hugely insensitive at best but he is making an ad absurdum. He really isn’t saying you should go back anywhere unless you want to ignore the rethorical figure altogether. His argument is that in his eyes your definition is absurd just as much as it would be nonsense to tell you to go back to Africa.
