It has to be automated, when I worked in online fraud prevention, there was pretty much the same thing. Captcha's aren't perfect and you can get past them with a bot, which is why you see a lot of different variations of them. Get a few people to click a link, add some cents, and get banned. If it is a malicious link, and or something beside dick pills, you can get some more work horse PCs out of it.

My favourite way of getting around captchas is just copying them exactly on whatever porn site the network runs and have humans solve them for you.

Well, a simple multiple choice like that isn´t worth it. Just guess at random with a 25% chance of getting it right. Repeat until lucky. But in general, captchas are pretty recognizable by the fact that there are <img> tags in the middle of a submission form, or something similar. So extract the image, and when someone clicks on your completely fake porn, warez or other crappy site, you tell them they have to prove they are human before being able to continue. Horny teenager solves the captcha, and the bot takes the output and uses it in the site that it wants to register on (e.g. teamliquid). But what happens to the horny teenager?! Well, he is given the chance to download a trojan and turn his computer into yet another bot in a botnet! Huzzah! Now back ontopic. Qbek was just temp banned for 2 weeks by opterown. That account was created on 2011-04-17 03:13:05 and had 5349 posts. Reason: You've been warned against posting large pony pictures before. I can´t find the pony ![]()
