Well in the case of this conspiracy theorist, I would completely support that statement. Nationalism to me is a bit like a sports team,from your area when you have no real interest in it. You know you don't give a shit, but when someone starts talking smack, part of you takes offense. I was re-reading Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut this last week so the term Granfalloon comes to mind as well. granfalloon – a false karass; i.e., a group of people who imagine they have a connection that does not really exist.
