StevenWang was just temp banned for 1 week by GMarshal. That account was created on 2012-12-30 04:38:54 and had 27 posts. Reason: I asked you in the thread to take it to website feedback. I warned you to take it to website feedback in PMs. You ignored me, so now you can't argue about it. Who knew GMarsh was such a poet ![]() I asked you I warned you You ignored me So away with you!

It is a business. TeamLiquid has merchandise, outlet ability, advertisements that make money, a pro league roster (which are paid) and a merge with Team EG. The largest and most profitable team in USA. http://www.worthofweb.com/website-value/http://teamliquid.net (Highly accurate in reading impressions.) Estimated net worth of www.teamliquid.net is 25,000,000. Bringing in almost 4,000,000 a year. Not to mention if you wanted to know what the salaries of their players are, I can go into detail about that as well. As I said, don't take this personally, but I believe people should know that www.TL.net is a business that is utilizing volunteer work to keep up their profitable website. You have to at least offer compensation... A business like tl can afford to pay 8 dollars an hour... User was temp banned for ignoring warnings, both in PMs and in the thread. Kind of scary once you realize that other people who couldn't be bothered posting might share this belief.

Then I saw he was talking about TL and I was like, "Lol, nevermind. He's just a dumb whiner." X-D A business like tl can afford to pay 8 dollars an hour... Bahahahahaha.... I think the members of TL are "compensated" satisfactorily by seeing people like him banned. ![]()

It's kind of stupid arguing that people are being treated unfairly when the people you are talking about are doing it completely willingly and aren't being forced. Also weird that the two people who were complaining about it being a voluntary position both had <30 posts and thus haven't really contributed anything to tl themselves.

I'm in the same boat and so are my close friends and considering how you can't sell a DotA 2 key anymore this must surely mean that pretty much everyone has one. Oh and lol at that guy who was trying to portray TL as some ruthless company that makes massive profit off the back of exploiting volunteers or whatever. Seriously? lol

It is, since if you take what he's saying at face value, then he's correct. But of course if you clicked on a few of his links you'd see that he's heavily distorting his 'facts'. The very first link I clicked from the DoL website was a survey to find out if you're business is exempt from these rules and the very first question was: over 500k yearly revenue. So unless Nazgul is secretly raking it in, I highly doubt TL has to follow these volunteer rules. There are plenty of other exemptions that TL might match too (I couldn't be bothered checking them all) and you could probably even argue that the purpose of TLpedia is for people to add information and thus they aren't employees but users, ect. Actually, the funniest part was the worth of web link he provided. For fun I punched in the website for my company - which does no advertising mind you - and it had us doing millions of dollars a year in advertising revenue (it's in the fine print: it multiplies traffic X guestimated cpm). So ya, worthofweb like all the other web traffic sites is pulling numbers out of their ass.

Either way the guy ended up out of line, although its reasonable for him to speak up and say he thinks TL should pay people. I disagree with him, but he can have his opinions. Just not expressed like that...

They had basically no standing army left by the time nukes were bombed. Majority of Japanese troops were stationed in Manchuria and around the Pacific, and they were crushed by that point. They had barely any fuel for what few operating warships and aircraft they had left, food supply was a major issue, and there were no reserves to be called upon. I'm sorry but I'm not going to give you any 'sources' on this because it's not something I just looked up on wikipedia or whatever stupid website just now to prove how valid my argument is. But hey, I'm sure they'd put up a glorious defence with like, ninjas and shurikens. User was temp banned for this post. edit: ban reason was not related to japan bombing. Salazarz was just temp banned for 2 weeks by KwarK. That account was created on 2012-04-21 20:19:46 and had 404 posts. Reason: nope

Also, discussing whether or not nuclear warheads were justified in Japan is not a big leap from whether from current events. I'll be impressed when you find a thread arguing about who is the best strategist in game of thrones turning into a japan-bomb argument.
