I spose you have said that Praise does not require justification in the same way as criticism, although in terms of contribution to a discussion they both seem like 2 sides of a rather dull coin.

It's great that you don't like pizza, but you don't need to tell us about it. Keep that to yourself if it adds nothing to the discussion. That is not the strongest analogy because the guy only said "I don't like pizza" once. For ten minutes it would make me want to hurt him, but just to bluntly say that you don't like pizza (or don't believe iNcontrol has what it takes to win in the GSL) is not obnoxious or particularly offensive. As for having to support your criticisms I agree, but I agree on the level of a minor warning instead of a temp. ban. That said it is your website. Even though I do enjoy that the forum is highly moderated because it keeps most of the obnoxious parts of communicating on the internet out sometimes a ban may not be deserved.

Chill, you are my hero! I wake up in the morning wishing I could be you, but then I realize I am not you and my day is but bleak sorrow.

I've seen people state far more laughable opinions than this with respect to common sense. I'd understand slightly more if the guy wrote it asif it was a fact (although people have a tendancy of stating their opinions as facts) but he even went to the trouble to say "I think". Here's the thing though. There are like 10 whole pages of people discussing whether inc has a chance to qualify or not with people making points on either side. Then this guy pops in and says "No chance" without addressing anything that has been said before. I mean what the fuck? Why would you even do that? What purpose does it serve? It's like Donnie from the Big Lebowski saying "I am the Walrus" over and over again after he heard Lenin's name come up in Walter and The Dude's conversation.

DorF was just temp banned for 2 days by Manifesto7. That account was created on 2009-07-10 01:28:33 and had 362 posts. Reason: "EDIT: I bet most of the people buying the books are catholic preists , OH SNAP " I'll snap your neck if you try to derail another thread with baiting like this. what an absolutely ridiculous ban. like that's possibly going to derail the thread. it's a small, somewhat stupid joke, that has been said a million times and isn't possibly going to derail the thread. I think you banned him because you didn't like his opinions/how he expressed himself

The fact is travis is that he has been warned about flamebaiting in the past and continues to do it. Sorry if my humour doesn't stoop low enough for your tastes.

I myself think that's good, teamliquid is supposed to be a community of people who share similiar views, which is a love for Starcraft and maturity. Just like if you have a friend in a circle of friends. If he's weird and has very weird views for your taste, like you play football and he thinks sports are a waste of time... It isn't hard for him to get kicked out of your circle. And I like how TL works that way. Afterall, the admins are like the leaders and we gotta play by their rules. Just want to add that the automated ban list is my fav thread on TL! ![]()
