SC2 strat section seems to have lots of bans from the use of that phrase. Recent patching of sc2 have 'supposedly' led to a large influx of pro-zerg wins, ergo people leading people to the term "patch zerg" as a way of saying "zerg is op'd due to patch".

My explanation was clearly vastly superior.

No worries Prae. Happy to help.

This was the most depressing post I've ever seen on Teamliquid. I've got a notepad file filled with funnier TL shit than that. Well, for me at the time it was the funniest thing I could at least remember, but there were... conscious expanding substances in my body that were deliberately delivered to my brain to warp my sense of comedic gravity.
Do share that notepad document (I'll show you mine if you show me yours first).

See this thread: Lings of Liberty: The Rise of the Patchzergs
I'm not sure I agree with him but its kind of funny. (I'm aware a large chunk is satircal.)

SC2 strat section seems to have lots of bans from the use of that phrase. a while ago there was a patch which gave queens more range to defend against early helion openings. Just after that patch some foreign zergs started to preform really well (Scarlett, SortOf, Vortix and others), it was suggested that these zergs were only good because of the patch. Hence the term patchzerg. Basically a one word balance whine.
While that's what the term means scarlett had results before the patch fyi.
But yeah in general it's another way for players to balance whine.

Believe me, I know she did. I was a member of her fan club back before there were 100 members. Hipster fan over here. But most people include her in that list because she didn't have huge results before it. She is a great example of someone who is clearly much more talented than a lot of the competition, and wins because of it, that gets called a patch zerg because it is easy to do and not because she is only good due to the patch.

This just strikes me as suspicious, because, well not many posters do that on their very first post. He registered 2 years ago today, actually.
Yeah, I misread the date he joined as 10th December 2012 XD

Since you didn't get a straight answer, that post of his would normally not get anything/just a warning, but he just came off a 30 day and has previous temps for saying similar things, hence the perm.

SC2 strat section seems to have lots of bans from the use of that phrase. People call foreign zergs who started achieving good results after the queen range buff patchzergs. All nationalities can count as patchzergs, not just foreigners. See recent gsl, IPL and MLG lr threads.

Mm, the OP is still not updated with the BaBy vs. Flash games... Of course, he could have had a power failiure/internet meltdown or whatever which would justify it, but it's pretty BM to make a LR-thread and then just bail

its funny because I used to run LR threads during power outages like a boss because I hooked my router to my building's backup.

So really there's no excuse, not updating LR OP's should just result in bans.

lol, yeah it's gone now - Either he got in touch with a mod and pleaded his case (Baby on fire, dog fell down the stairs etc.) or he just edited it out and didn't even bother to update the Flash v. BaBy results
