The bans are amusing, though. And most of the people who got banned on page 1000 should be back in a few hours to comment. The BW fans have mostly grown up. Money has started to come in. Kespa is about to enter the scene as the 800-lb gorilla. The scene is slowly starting to get more adults. The people who think the outside world needs to grow up while their frat house is the paragon of maturity are going to be in for a rude shock. And they are really lashing out in threads like that.

imo report/ban worthy posts are pretty obvious.I guess the golden rule would be don't report someone just based upon you having a different opinion or something like that.

just trust your judgment, if the mods disagree then the poster won't be warned / banned and if they think you're using it maliciously they'll definitely let you know

As obvious as the moderation action might be, you should at least write a justifiable reason. In example your report from the picture thread - Reason: nl æ, you could write "no picture." We sometimes get reports that have the most absurd reasons: "..." "idiot" "-_-"
Of course we appreciate the reporter for bringing it to our attention and we're grateful but just understand it get's annoying for us, well at least for me.

I don't really report people that often but when I do,its usually for a post that causes my brain to feel like someone is jabbing a rusty nail into my skull.

Yeah it's still helpful to put reasons down. I feel like we're starting to get a lot of reports that are basically one side of the argument that got exasperated and want to ban the other guy whereas both were getting heated. At least attempting to articulate the problem would hopefully mitigate some of this bad reporting

I can see that happening. I have reported very rarely I think, only when I thought it was a really obvious bad post. Might have biased among those very few those.
I couldn't mod this website, I'm too emotionnally involved in some of the arguments (ahem sc2 vs bw) that happen here. Props to you guys...

Good thing we're discussing this..... I threw out an idea previously about how I wish you were able to "EDIT" your report post. In-case you wrote something awful in the heat of the moment. I don't know how possible that would be to code into the forum... but I'm sure it would help you guys out.

Just think about your report twice before you send it. If there's a need to edit, it's a bad report. I don't think that option it's necessarily an improvement as it could, for example, make you more trigger happy when it comes to shooting them reports because you always have the chance to 'improve' it later.

I feel like " I hate this community " " I can't believe this community... " etc anything with " community " is becoming the most used phrase on TL in these drama threads. It's like people expect everyone to share their views just because we all play/watch the same video game or something.
edit: anyone else notice it's usually all the low post count people arguing in these drama threads?
