In light of recent news (and supernovamaniac leaving for Korea soon), I would like for us to meetup to share in our sorrows and say goodbye to him. I know it's on pretty short notice, but please let's make an effort to come and gather.

If you're under 21 you will need someone 25 or older to get you in, no exceptions but it's Wednesday Night, so they will probably not check. Just don't order alcohol if you're under 21.

This event might be a good place to discuss how we should plan for the OSL finals party, or at least get the logistics rolling along. The timing of the OSL finals will probably be late July/early August. Since Cybercraft closed, the NYC BW community needs to find an alternative venue that can host as many people as possible that's willing to host at late hours.
I'll go because I'm tired of having multiple D&B cards that I don't know if it works/have credits.

Depends on where you land, LaGuardia shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, while JFK would take about 45 minutes to get to Times Square. I don't know how long people are usually willing to stay; the last meetup I think the festivities lasted around 11 for most people. I usually have late-nite adventures if possible, but this time, it won't be the case because of work most likely.

Well, unfortunately, trains are a hassle late-nite, because a lot of us live far away, with 1+ hour train ride ahead of us. With that said, I could go back to the office and sleep there for the night. Also, I could show up to work with 3 hours of sleep; I have done this before, and will depend on how my schedule works out for the day.

Well, since Cybercraft closed down, there aren't any LAN cafés suitable to our needs. This being that one has to be in NYC (most people are unwilling to go anywhere outside really, due to travel costs and time), and one that's big enough to host everyone that comes (upwards of 60+ people).
Also, another reason is that there aren't any Tournament Organizers willing to organize an event. My feeling is that a lot of the attendees are competitive players, and wants nothing to do with the behind the scenes. Games tended to end pretty late, if I recall correctly, the finals of the tournament ended around 10-11 PM, which detracts a lot of people because they don't want to travel the subway on the late-nite schedule/curfews/personal preferences.

Have people tried to organize one? It seems to me like the is a crowd for one, no MLGs close to us and I've always wanted to go to a live event even if a small one.
