For months the best minds in the world of non-money, 100% pride-based StarCraft betting have squared off to determine who can most accurately predict OSL, MSL, Proleague, GSL, and NASL matches. Finally these seasons have come to an end and it is my pleasure to make this post to congratulate the newest winners. Its been an especially long season this time around on both fronts, so lets waste no more time and get right on to it!
After more than six months of betting pinball777 edged out the field by the narrowest of margins, taking first by a mere one point and capturing just over 66% of the total points available this season. Though he didn't take the top places in any particular league, his consistency in each of them paid off, as his Top 100 finishes in Proleague, OSL, and MSL eventually amounted to an overall championship. Congratulations pinball777!
For all of you who reside in this Top 10 and picked fantasy, my condolences and better luck next season! GTR don't get too cocky!
Top 5 MBCGame Finishers (154 max points) 1. Yang Wenli - 103 2. Sigi - 102 3. stevetorious - 102 4. Chairman Ray - 101 5. TRAP[yoo] - 101
After registering in April, this season was Lord_J's first, and he made the most of it by pulling away from the field by a sizable margin of seven points to take the trophy. While winning 66% of the total points available he proved most adept within the realm of GSL events, finishing in the Top 5 for Code-A and the Top 100 for both Code-S and Up-Down matches. Along with a respectable NASL effort, these performances carried him to victory. So, the next time you see this guy post his opinion in the nightly GSL live report thread, pay attention folks! Congratulations Lord_J!
Now for some minute bragging rights, lets pause to recognize those who came oh so close to winning, as well as our top finishers in each league and among staff:
Thank you to everyone who played this season, be it BW or SC2! Special thanks to the guys that keep Liquibet running, day in and day out, Roffles and CaucasianAsian! Brood War fans, Liquibet Season 23 is already underway, so get betting and gl hf! For those awaiting the return of Liquibet 2, keep an eye out, Season 5 will be starting soon!
Once again, congratulations to our newest Liquibet champions, pinball777 and Lord_J
Grats to Lord_J He obviously saw through the misty eyed Leenock fever that was spreading around and made the smart bet on Jjakji in the GSL final. Looking forward to a good fight next season!
I was top 10 BW for a short time, but to the end I made a lot of bad decisions, fantasy was just the tip of the iceberg. My only shot at top 10 I guess, and I blew it QQ
Damn it, i was top 30 or something until i got both GSL semifinals and the finals totally wrong. 17 points missing was definitly a killing blow... oh well, gratz to the winners.
Edit: Oh btw, can anybody tell us what the highest winstreak was? Think i broke my record with 15 correct votes in a row

Congrats both of you! I don't reckon I'll ever win after falling short this season haha, T.T

Haha, so true. If I'd have been within 7 points of winning I would've been really upset lol
This was indeed a grueling season. I even went from 882 last season to 18th this season. It's amazing how getting a 5 point bet right can jump you hundreds of spots. This shit is brutal yo.
Haha nice didn't expect to #1 in NASL picks but it did honestly feel very easy to pick compared to GSL esp Code A was brutal. Congrats to Pinball777 and Lord_J!

Unfortunately there is no easy way for me to get that kind of statistic with the tools I have available (which are basically the same as anyone else except I have the ability to create and enter results for liquibets).

[tasteless]I never asked for these powers.[/tasteless]
Thanks to everyone who reached out with congratulations in this thread, other threads, and by PM. And also to NSHS.Jjakji, whose victories in the Semis and Finals of Code S this past season made my victory possible.
Congrats to winners! I am already screwed in the new BW liquibet cause of KT
Thanks Liquibet staff for updating and adding the matches :D Next season of Liquibet is gonna be interesting if the GSL up and down groups are added to it, gonna be so hard to predict.
I missed 6 points and voted fantasy .. if I get my average 65% for the 6, and voted jangbi, I would have had 11 points more and still be 5 points short of pinball but I would be in the top 10. Bummer.

How long were your streaks?
My best was 21, would have been 27 but I forgot to vote for one in between :D
I really appreciated the liquidbet system and had a blast, even though I joined mid way through. Looking forward to starting fresh next season. Gratz to all the winners, especially if you were able to keep pace through the most recent GSL season, very impressive.
Can we get a time frame on the length of next season? I went full force with my bets til about 2 months ago when I got bored because I had no idea how much longer I needed to hold on. Some sort of time frame would help tremendously.
