I don't know if this post is even worth it, but we can still try.
Does anyone around the Lafayette, Louisiana area play SC or have any interest in such games. Doesn't seem like there is much of a scene here. It seems like the closest internet cafe is in Metairie which is a shame!

Anyone??

StarCraft IRL friends would be pretty tight!

i am in metaire, and want to get some kind of barcraft goin. i watched the finals at that lan center today. there is a daiquiri place next door, but i would like to find an actual bar. i would be willing to go to baton rouge or even lafayette, but we need to get plenty people.

wish us luck, TL'ers, louisiana is usually a decade behind the rest of the country...

Hiya! There is actually quite a few Louisianans that play SC2. We're just very scattered out I suppose. LZGamer is from BR I believe. I remember talking to him when he attended the SC2 lan tourny at dibbz awhile back. Anyways, a barcraft/LAN meeting would be awesome. Preferably around Metarie....lol.

If you're ever gonna be at dibbz on a friday PM me or something because I'm there for the fighting game night more than half the time.

We really should get a dibbz GSL finals night or something goin and just slam that daiquiri shop nextdoor

Since Maelstrom stopped running dibbz tournaments no one has picked up the slack, so we're still free in that department. Need to get it running again though so people quit slackin.

New Iberia here.

Me and a couple buddies have been playing SC2 pretty hardcore since January and we were thinking the same thing about SC2 people in this area. When we looked at the LAN center(s), there didn't seem to be to much interest in SC2.

I just joined up on the LASC2 facebook group and will try to get my friends to do the same. So glad to see that there's more of you guys out there!

If you attend the University in Lafayette you can join their starcraft team. Its a rather friendly group of decent players. They also have a LAN center called Electronic Gaming Lounge near campus. The people who go there mainly play mobas, but you'll find some guys who play starcraft as well. Im not sure how old you are, but even if you're <18 they may let you join the University team.

so, MLG providence is 11/18 - 11/20? we need some kind of barcraft.

i am in the metairie area, and if we can't find a bar anywhere (i'm sure if we have enough people, we could find a place), i'm sure we can make an event out of it at dibbz. there ia a bar near there, and a daiquiri shop next door.

if you can make it to the metairie/new orleans area next weekend, post here. i'll keep an eye out.

@mastermind, there is a LAn center in lafayette somewhere, i think it is on that one main buisness street with the college off it.
