I like Midnight Blacks, Flames, and Superiors, in that order- but hello, back on topic! Here is my question: who among the TL Staff is aware of the Varieties? Do you check the country of origin when buying produce? Do you think that matters at all? Do you look for organic versus conventional? If so, why, and where is the science behind "Organics"? Are you guys aware of this sort of stuff? Laws in different countries different

You fellow U.S. Citizens are probably eating flame seedless- as for Green, there are so many seedless varieties that are so different you should probably specify. Sugraone/Superior are just as tough skinned/fleshy as a Flame while Thompsons are similar but slightly softer and Perlette is soft- just for Coachella grapes. Elsewhere, there are tons of varieties. Are you guys aware of this sort of stuff? Laws in different countries different I have (un)fortunately been aware of much of this my whole life. My father works in produce and much of the information I know had just been absorbed from living and eating with him while growing up. I've found that even people who think of themselves as very conscientious and "knowledgeable" aren't really very much so. Hell, I doubt my own knowledge scratches much more than the surface, especially in comparison to people like your and my fathers. Had my father been someone else my knowledge of varieties would likely be limited to different colors of apples and sizes of tomatoes; I would likely never check where something is from (which I almost always do; to others: buying local is not default better, different climates/times of year are much better suited for different crops, which I'm sure most people know but don't think much about or use to factor in purchases); and certain fruits/vegetables I bother to get organic, while others I do not, but am not sure whether or how much that would be different than it is now.

I just had lobster for the first time last night. It really wasn't that great. I mean, it tasted good, just not as good as everyone and the media had hyped it up to be. I imagine Duck à l'orange is going to feel the same way. Also The Avengers.
