Please, if you are not staff, don't answer questions in this thread, even if you think you know the answer. Also, please take complains about bans, question about TL as a site, etc to the Website Feedback Forum. |

That system was good when everything that matters was broadcasted in Korea but nowadays for SC 2 it's not the case anymore. Could you elaborate on why you think TLPD is lackluster? It's no why I think it's lackluster. It is lackluster. You make it sound like it's an opinion. But since you want a list of problems here we go : Small tournaments (not recurrent) Small teams Weekly tournaments Showmatches Team matches VODsThe system isn't adapted to SC2. Period. Hence my question. I saw the tone of your post, looked up your moderation history and could not be surprised by the fact that you managed to rack up two bans and three warning in under 2 months. It most certainly is an opinion, whatever you might say. Get off your high horse, your subjective interpretations are not fact. Considering you have a reputation for being 'funny' with bans I guess I shouldn't wonder why you looked up my moderation history - and it has been 5 months already not that it changes the point you made but since you are so keen on precision, I wanted to help you. My question was clear and explicit and I didn't get answer but I didn't get answer but some form of mockery for what isn't an opinion. Let me explain to you what I had waited for an answer : 1. No, we are satisfied with the current system and don't plan on modifying it. 2. Yes, we would like to improve it and we would like to hear your ideas and suggestions. However I am aware that I have been too abrasive in my post, so I am going to present my apologies with the hope that someone can answer me.
What the fuck is your problem? You don't add a line saying "I have been too abrasive... going to present my apologies" AFTER you continue to have a shitty attitude just a few lines above it. Nyovne gave a very appropriate reply given your crappy tone and you reply with this? You don't sound remorseful at all for how you presented yourself, and I truly believe that you are not.
And to make it better, his assessment of you is very relevant - 2 bans and 3 warnings in just over 4 months is not that much better than 2 months. His point still stands that you're not without concerns here.

So I was just wondering something. This is ofcourse completely retarded, but I just want to know for sure - are perm bans actually permanent? What are the odds of coming back into the light after a perm ban, and how exactly does one do it?
I've been racking up warnings lately, and I'm the kind of person who in some situations is too fucking stupid for my own good, so just if the worst happens it's good to know these things
Much love to you all! ♥

Perm bans are not necessarily permanent, and may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We factor a lot of things into our decisions, so it's hard to come up with some formula, but typically, being very humble & open minded and expressing remorse when you do make mistakes is the way to go. If we believe you're sincere and that you offer value to the site, we might un-perm, or allow you to return on another ID. Sometimes we will only allow that after a good length of time has elapsed. Sometimes we do not allow that at all.

I have a legit question - i hope it has not been answered before D: my little searches couldnt really pinpoint anything.
So when a mod/baneling looks up someones post history, do they see what we do? Thread title, their post number, then having to click on the post to view the thread with the post. (hope you followed that)
Or is it just a page of the individual posts. For instance, + Show Spoiler + actionbastrd November 05 2011 08:20. Posts 275 PM Profile Blog Quote Edit # i go on this all the time to practice. When i started my average was 60ish. 1k races later and an i average 95-110 everytime. ^__^ its so nice to see improvement and i love how it uses full punctuation and direct quotes instead of just word after word. Makes you learn your keyboard better.
Tip - work on accuracy then speed. If you try to go fast you will end up just hitting the wrong buttons, and having to back space which really kills your WPM.

I am returning to school soon and since i am going into a field that requires a ton of sitting, i thought i would invest in the nicest chair i could find. Hoping to be able to save the funds for it by the summer of 2012 >.< assuming i dont find a better chair to buy other than this one by then. But you are right the arm rests do look funky. I did sit in one once before, but i didnt really have time to fully test it out. I am sure by the time i have the funds i will be able to sit in one for a longer period of time. I know a couple ppl who own it at their office. I currently use some $50 dollar chair from costco ive had for a couple years now. Works for now ^_^ Last edit: 2011-11-06 15:18:21 self Build- :D Windows 7 64bit - ASUS rampage 3 extreme - G.Skill 6g (2x3) ddr3 1333 triple channel - Cooler Master v8 - Intel i-7 990x 6cores, OC @ 4.2ghz(air) - Nividia 590 GTX (2 gpu card) - Silverstone 1000w psu modular - Antec 300 Etc. etc. etc. probably in post order
Hope you understand what i mean. Just like the layout of what you see. Because i feel it would be more efficient to have the latter instead of manually clicking each post and going into each thread like us users do in post history. Just asking out of curiosity at best.

Yea we can see it like that, done by post date.

I am trying to understand the impetus behind the changes to featured streams. Why was it necessary to unfeature so many players? I dont doubt the need to cleanse the site of any defunct or obsolete streams, but clearly it was about more than just that. To be frank, I have a hard time swallowing the fact that many streamers lost a huge amount of viewership (and thus revenue, etc.) for....well.....for what?

I'm too lazy to do any real investigation, but any account with RawR or "a word-RawR" is a good bet, I'd assume. Nal-RawR, for example, though if I recall correctly from researching the ban list there are many others with RawR in them.
Question for anyone on staff: How do you not not feel about the opposite of not-double negatives?
