Please, if you are not staff, don't answer questions in this thread, even if you think you know the answer. Also, please take complains about bans, question about TL as a site, etc to the Website Feedback Forum. |

Did Ares[EffOrt] indeed win a beta key or did he win because he's staff? Just curious if it was random, nothing personal. ^^

Just curious if it was random, nothing personal. ^^ I have no real idea on percentages but based on the forums I think the majority of active sc2 accounts have a beta key now. (I didn't answer his question so don't ban me

They...lurk?
The Brothers Karamazov; alternatively Crime and Punishment by Fyodr Dostoevsky The Magic Mountain; alternatively Buddenbrooks by Thomas Mann Dubliners, James Joyce To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
Not quite novels:
Divine Comedy, Dante Faust, Goethe Paradise Lost, Milton
Pretty common recommendations, but hey, they're classics for a reason =P

Oh gosh Crime and Punishment brings back bad memories of English class... But thanks for the recommendations! Will look into them.

If you were traumatized by Crime and Punishment, maybe you should stay away from some of those recommendations, since they all tend towards the long, winding, erudite, nigh-impenetrable category =P
Dubliners is a collection of short stories, so that might be decent to read. The Dead, the last story in the collection, is my favorite short story ever.
Try novellas Death in Venice or Mario and the Magician for Thomas Mann to see if he's your style.
If you want something different from Dostoevsky in Russian literature, perhaps give The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov a try.
If On a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino is a fast and fun read - it's also 11 books in one book ^^
I wish I could just sit around and read books all day @_@
