A few mates and I turned up, we were expecting maybe 50 or so people, 400~ confirmed on facebook usually equates to that in my experience.
Absolutely packed place, put the world cup rugby semis to shame. Parking was painful so we ended up being 15 mins late and couldn't get a seat with a decent view, tried to get it working on an iPad and iPhone but the gomtv's mobile viewer wasn't playing nice with tethering.
Would definitely show up again though, maybe arrive a couple hours early to secure prime seats.
I take it the hotel management want to do another?

Yeah we had the whole place covered with people and that world cup rugby lounge were a waste of space!

The city seemed pretty dead compared to the amount of people at the bar last night.

Hey, just also wanted to congratulate those that ran it. Turned up with a few mates myself, and was hyped by the "oohs" and "aaahhs" of the crowd.
Would love to see more of them again =D

The Barcraft experience is amazing and after actually going to one I think it's what will push esports into the future. There's this indescribable feeling you get when a medivac full of units gets sniped and the bar erupts with noise, or when banelings hit a clump of marines and you're almost deafened by the cheers. It makes esports feel legit.

BarCraft will do for StarCraft 2 what PC Bangs done for BW =)
Well done everyone. Keep at it. Just being there, you're making a difference!

This would be awesome for GSL finals at Blizzcon!

The only problem there is the time difference. Not only will people not really enjoy the early morning city journey, the bar may have licensing issues being open that late. But Korean timezoned tournaments seem a lot better for us.

Yeah it is good that we are so close to the korean time zone, so used to being fucked over by time zones in Australia for stuff like the EPL, world cups and most other sporting events.
Was a great event though, me and a few mates turned up. Was a pity that the rugby was on and taking up all those sweet lounges. Was also good to see altPig there though i didn't get a chance to say hello =( Cant wait for the next one hopefully MKP won't throw the last game away.

this was such an excellent event, so many nerd chills hearing the crowd cheer when baneling landmines boomed through the speakers. was sad for MKP but met up with a few people i have gamed with for a long time but never seen irl, which was awesome.
thanks for organising this! i will 100% be at the next one.
