Yeah, this one is pretty easy. Checked up on all your timestamps and he's definately fog-scouting you. Confirmed, will add to the list.

Haha, and even if the FOW wasn't obvious enough, at 2:00 he selects your hatchery, a bunch of drones, and an overlord that we (the replay viewers) can't see unless we turn off fog of war. You're 100% correct, sir, obvious hacker. VERY obvious.
This one is a little tough - I might have to put this for review for now.
A proxy in the right location on a 4 player map isn't enough by itself to prove that they are hacking...He never really did anything to prove he was a hacker. However if he had a maphack, and saw you via minimap, that'd make sense to me.
One thing that is kind of bizarre is that he changes his scout probe's movement to out of the "default" scouting path to avoid your scout - but this COULD just be player intuition, trying to hide his scout from yours (even though it wasn't early scout) so I don't know. I'll get a few more people to watch it and see what they think, because I'm like...60/40 here and need some more info before I confirm.
What I plan on doing at the end of Season two is get this list all put together, I've been archiving the replays on my PC, I'll host the entire bundle for both NA and EU, and ship them out to Blizzard. From there, they can decide what they want to do with them, but at least someone can say "hey, I got a list of X number of hackers here, take a look."
Maybe we can, instead of having a list of hackers, make a difference in the SC2 ladder.

I guess since my new plan is to send these all off to blizzard, maybe I can compile a list of maphackers as well. This guy is pretty obvious from all those wins, I'll admit. Same as the guy on the front page.
I'll come up with something.
Sorry for the late updates! I was kinda chill on checking the thread because we had like...2 replays a week and I was just doing it every weekend, but I'll swing by more often now, as we just got a good few replays in a pretty quick amount of time.
Thanks everyone!!

Have you done this before? Did Blizzard ever follow-up? This is awesome news! Thanks!

Not unless Arb did this (Torenhire here!), as I wasn't on the Season 1 Antihack team!
Just going to experiment, and see what happens this season - I plan on keeping this thread going through all of the seasons with everyone else who is willing to help out by watching replays.
Another Needs Review replay has been posted, please download and watch, give your thoughts either here or via PM. Thanks all!

You're right that there weren't any obvious triggers, but to proxy in the right location is one thing; to blind place a pylon and two cannons without seeing your opponent once, and then finally to place a pylon in visible range of a structure that you hadn't seen when the cannons were almost done warping in to pull probes in to kill.. damn.

iMpure is a maphacker... He played a friend of mine, and my friend saved the replay because he BMd so hard. After a while some random guy PMd Neos (my friend) and said that iMpure is a well known hacker in EU. So we checked the replay to see if he really was a maphacker and yeah... He is. He never scouted (worst hacker ever) and he looks into the fog countless times over Neos base.
Hes been reported now and hopefully he'll get a perma ban.

Rofl, if you can report him, do it.

I feel pretty accomplished since I helped catch a hacker. And I literally had no intention of checking the replay till I saw hit post about BigJ, now i'm thinking about checking every replay to see how many people hack on ladder, but I play to much to do that. T_T

I just want another set of eyes or two on the replay before confirming it. Personally I think he's a hack but I'd rather innocent till proven guilty. Lemme know.

Blizzard won't do much unless their Warden is the one that catches them.

Played iMpure just now, proxied me on shatt temple without scouting, looked through fog etc. Blargh ban him already.

Hacker Name: Choi Replay: http://www.2shared.com/file/Vqs3xSQf/Choi_Cheat.htmlDescription: A cannon rush, builds cannons and pylons before seeing any buildings of his opponent, however I am unsure if this is luck or not - he also moves his probe that is going to cannon rush out of the "default" scouting path to avoid the opponents scouting probe blindly...suspicious to say the least. Please watch and let me know. Suspicious camera movement initially noted between 1:30-1:32, moving the camera rightward toward the enemy's base.
I believe the Choi is visibly looking at the enemy's gateway/base at 2:08-2:09 (I presume to be sure his cannonrush will still be successful)
Also seen at 3:07 looking through fog of war at the enemy's building cyber core.
Verdict: 2:08-2:09 camera movement is incriminating enough to consider this cheating

Wowowow Lugia.... I know him irl and he's on my CSL team T_T

Definitely a Maphacker.
Let alone zero scouting during the entire match, At 2:12 mark, Choi moved his probe closer to the edge of the ramp so it won't be caught on the enemy's vision/build pylon and cannons. No players are dumb to proxy without scouting especially on 4-player map unless they are psychic or hopeless in winning that proxy is their only solution.

Alright I will add Choi - thanks Ichabod for giving some timestamps. I had just woken up so I might have looked over some stuff! Will definitely go back and check it out tonight while I'm coherent.
Also thanks nepts2 for watching! :D

Yeah I also agree on the Choi. There is a way to know if a nexus is there without scouting it though. Check This thread to see what I'm talking about.
In this replay though, he doesn't use that trick and does some weird things with his probe that goes out to proxy. On top of that he does look through the fog for a bit before even before laying down the proxy or giving orders.

I've watched this replay 4 times over on x8, Faster and even Normal. You know what I fail to see? Choi EVER scouting his opponent. Okay, maybe he blind avoids his opponents probe. It could happen. And maybe he scouts correctly on his first try. But the first time Choi ever sees his opponent is when a cannon pylon has already completed and the first cannon is half done. Any players you know that cannon rush and blindly build a pylon?
Argument inside spoiler box so I don't take up too much page space. + Show Spoiler + He knew exactly where to put the cannons and pylons despite never having any vision of his opponent. On the surface it "could" be the luckiest game ever but the fact that he deliberately started his attack without confirming he was in the right base is damning enough.
On the surface you could defend Choi and this is a hard incident to determine. But in my opinion the building placement, both pre placing the pylon before he even reached his opponents base and warping in the initial two cannons out of sight range of the buildings before knowing where they were are conclusive. The only way he could have been so absolutely correct is to have vision of his opponents base.
He never sent out another scout. He was solely and 100% commited to cannon rushing the close air position whether it was correct or not. He has a 1 in 3 chance of being correct which can justify a blind cannon rush being successful. His pylon/cannon placements being absolutely perfect further increase the odds of this naturally occuring but I must be honest, in the back of my mind I believe there is a less than one percent chance that this was a legitimate win. I would absolutely report him for hacking.
Hackers take big risk for (presumably to them) big reward. Branding a players hackers runs risk as well, as we could always be wrong. This instance is a lot grayer than the average but I am convinced of guilt.

No, I totally agree. I just wanted to make sure I was right. Definitely not the most prominent or abusive hack but I felt like it was a hack. I just didn't want to be like OMG HACKER!! when it was still reasonable that he got lucky with a cannon rush. I agree though, I think what made me feel like it was probably a hack was that he started making cannons before scouting the buildings.
Thanks all!

Remember that even though you guys are actively in charge theres a lot of us that want to help you guys! We really appreciate the work you do and the legitimacy of this thread. The feedback and updated OP makes a difference more than clicking report in game and that being the end of it.
(Personally, I went up against a map hacker that was smart enough to only abuse the minimap and use ludicrously accurate scans and army movement but reading the posts in this thread soothes the anger behind dealing with this kind of thing)
