I have an amazing DSLR Camera but lost the charger for the battery. If i can manage to get the batteries charged, I'll bring it.

Ok so this time around I'm not going to premake exact groups beforehand. The top 12 players (determined by a combination of ladder points/past lan results) will get special treatment the rest get to fight through a nightmare as they check in on saturday... lol jk...if enough people show up we will be taking 3 from a group and playing a prelim round before ro16. If groups are smaller (5 or less each) only 2 will advance straight into a ro16.
Also I'm not splitting up the times like in the past (11 and 1) we've been kind of light the past couple lans in the mornings so everyone please arrive at noon! (If 50+ show at once we'd be kind of screwed but I don't think that'll happen)

So are we/am I making groups as people sign in? To avoid the "group B has 2 people" fiasco?
I can do that ezpz, but make sure to like...bold the top 200 or whatever our "don't put these into same group" people so that I know who the hell is who. :p

Yes the "group B has 2 people" fiasco is the main reason for this change. And yes the top players will be bolded on any checkin sheets I print up for saturday. We can do kind of a first come first serve the first top 8 player to checkin gets thrown into Group A etc.
And we can just do what we did last time, post the groups up here and just tell people to check this thread for their matches.

Basically you won't be able to see groups before the day of the event. They're going to be formed as people check in to ensure that there are no groups with only 2 or 3 people in them (and people can get started with their games more quickly)
