Anyone got a place they can lend for the evening? There's about a 25% chance that I might be able to host, but all I got is a 20 inch computer screen so it might not be great.

I'm not sure about GSL4 but in GSL3 the finals was hosted by kore, it seems that he knows people at PC cafes or hes just good at organizing (or both), The GSL was projected on a big screen (at switchbox) + there was food and it was great, but not sure if anyone can organize it on a short notice.

Just a couple more things to go. The event will take place at SwitchBox over by Chinook and we'll be ordering a ton of pizza and drinks. There will be a small entry fee since viewers will be taking up space and make it crowded for the players but all those small details will go up tomorrow afternoon. Games will start at midnight on Friday so technically it'll be Saturday but yeah that'll be posted tomorrow as well and we'll most likely meet up around 11PM or so on Friday night.

How early into the mornings have these events typically gone? I know it depends on how many games it takes to finish the series, but I have never watched any of these lives, just used VODs.

Last GSL I watched went from 1am to 5am, but that was 4-0 or 4-1 or something like that. I'm pretty sure this will be a closer match, so expect it to end 4am.

Ok, so if Switchbox isn't a go, I will be able to host. I can accommodate upwards of 5-6 people. If you are going to bring a projector, it would require both VGA and DVI ports. Also, I don't have a season pass, so not sure if we can get on the free stream.

Hmm, I'm not sure what ports it has sadly, I could check though. Hopefully someone there will have an HQ stream? Or I guess, we could use the other method to get an HD stream... And if we can only have free, whatever.

So yeah man, would be cool to meet up with some fellow TLers!

VGA and DVI are the blue and white ports rectangle ports. If we dont get on the stream, we can always watch a restream.

Yeah exactly what I ment by "other means"!... Oh okay, yeah it has them. Just might be a pain taking it into the car. But if you need it I'll see what I can do. Or attaching it to the TV?

I felt bad about that but really I couldn't do anything because I was leaving for the airport in like 3 hours.

Last but not least, does anyone have a FM radio transmitter? Something that you'd use for your MP3 player in your car so that you music plays on the radio and you can just tune your car to that frequency?

I am in the same situation as you, really want to come out but have to do stuff in the morning. Would be nice to meet some fellow TL'ers from Calgary as none of my friends care much about sc2, let alone the GSL.
