I did think that a GSTL style thing would be fun. But would require finding more players for teams, which may be a problem for some people?

With straight 1v1s, as UKstarcraft are already 3 weekly 1v1 cups do we really need another one with a more limited player base (students only)? I'm not sure there's that many UK players to warrant splitting them up further?
There's not that many 1v1 tournaments, which would make it a bit more novel.

I would be rely interest in some small tournaments, I play abit and just want to have fun with tournaments but dont know how to join any, any quick way?

American unis already have a intercollegiate league, the CSL (college star league). We should have a UK version too!

If people are just looking for a tourney to GSTL kind of competition to join, check out Valor channel in Starcraft and look up Valor beginner's league as well as valorstarleague.com/forum, it's not strictly UK, but there are a good amount of us in there, and it's a pretty fun community.

From Imperial too, will be great to get to know some of you guys near me who plays regularly. Although I will be inactive for a week or so. Also looking for a good 2v2 partner to practice with, preferrably zerg as I play Terran or Protoss.

This has been tryed to be started for many years to get gonig and has been hard as not all universitys have gaming societies let alone a active one. Hopefully this year its going to get a big push again, its called National University eSports League. Website www.thenuel.com IRC #nuel on QuakeNet.

If the NUEL goes ahead, it would be a good platform to start a sc2 tourney between unis. I know Aberdeen Uni has a gaming society tho I don't know how many of them play sc2. I know the two stall people were either bronze or practice league tho :D

I live in Oxford, though I'll be going to King's College London in the fall. Seem to be quite a few people from University of London posting here.

I really do like the idea of Stacraft 2 university league.

We definately need some kind of CSL for the UK.
Maybe an intercollege starleague as well just for oxford uni if there are enough people.
