Yes the 2v2 is still going to happen
Thread will likely be started over the weekend or next week, we wanna take care of all the 1v1 stuff first
the 2v2 doesnt really need that much organization cuz its the same as a 1v1 except each 1 represents two entities
Meaning You will need a partner and its not gonna be random partners with rotation make sure you have a teammate in mind, if you cant find one, ask around, im sure there are others without partners

Is it going to be 16 or 32 teams?

right, question then. How are the headphones at the place? I dont actually own a pair so i was wondering whether the ones that are there will suffice or do i need to go shopping.
|
I think you're supposed to provide your own in-ear headphones. Says so in the FAQ.
|
Headphones are different depending on the computer your at... though most of them can safely be categorized under "$10 Pair You Get at Walgreens"
But yeah if you wind up getting casted or get far in the tournament you need to bring IEMs. Id recommend bringing them just in case.

Headphones provided are pretty terrible.... they are over-ears, but not around-ears.... meaning they just cover your ears barely.... if you have a big head then not at all....
If your games are casted, I believe they provide you with a pair of noice canceling around-ear muffs to go over YOUR in-ear headphones.... otherwise your games cant be casted, or you have to play without game-sound.
Personally Im bring my own pair of around--ear headphones so I dont have to use the ones provided nor the ear-muffs

Your gonna have to wear the noise canceling ear muffs either way, You must wear in-ear headphones with them if your game is going to be casted

@Smurf I'll make a post on Friday night about traveling from Times Square. Last time it was only Me/Scham/Magikarp, but I'm sure we could get more this time.

Take it from Queensborough Plaza, faster with the N, then transfer to the 7. That's the route I'm taking.
Then again, it is probably easier to meet up in Times Square.

Much easier, its too cold to wait outside Queensborough for the train to come. Just take the 7 train all the way, the potential 5 minutes you save aren't worth it IMO.

Also, you never get seats at Queensboro.

I think I will have access to an unlimited Metrocard though, so I could take the train, get off and reboard. Saturday might be tough because I'm probably going to be tired from the Dave and Busters meetup, so I might just pay to take the van from Brooklyn to Flushing.
