Yeah the original post says 500. i have to fix that my bad.
The list of participants will be released on the day of the tournament. But there are currently 30 people signed up for the tournament.
But its less than a week now to the tournament day! Start practicing and lets try and get some more people signed up for a larger tournament!
|
jw are painuser and the 'coaches' participating in the tourney?
|
PainUser and Axslav will be participating in the tournament, yes.
|
A few questions:
- What's the cutoff date for signing up?
- Do I need to BYOC to attend? To participate in the tournament? (I have a macbook that's capable of running SC2, but there's no way I'm getting anywhere in a competitive event with it.)
- Is it cool to just attend and hang out? :D

If you bring a mac I'm going to make constant apple talk jokes at your expense. Just putting that out there, see you at the event!

Nope, if you want to just play you can bring your computer. But if you just want to come and hang out then you don't have to bring anything except some money for the delicious taco truck

I may be dense, but I can't seem to find a start time (need to start planning my weekend). Also, how long do guys expect this to last?
|
1) op says three astro gaming headsets for top competitors + a raffled off one, your detailed prizes only give a headset to #2. what happens / happened to the other headsets?
2) op says it is possible we will have a 64-man tournament. will the prize pool expand if its 64 instead of 32? 64 x10$ each is 640, i am curious where the 340$ goes to after giving out prizes.
3) how will axslav painuser and HDGamer be able to give lessons while competing in the tournament? can you give a more detailed explanation on the lessons or on the tournament format so people can know what to expect from both.
4) if i can't arrive until 11:15-11:30ish, will that be a problem?
sorry for pestering you, but i think these are all reasonable questions.

1. One headset each for 1st and 2nd place. and 1 raffled off.
2. Prize pool will not expand. Being curious is understandable.
3. HDStarcraft or HDGamer will be casting some games as well as competing.
4. The Tournament is scheduled to start at Noon. If you can get there when you get there and have all your equipment set up by the time we're going to start the tournament then it won't be a problem.

moony that doesnt really answer my 2nd or 3rd questions. if prize pool will not expand where will the extra money go? and you didnt really explain how HDGamer will cast, play, and give lessons. the schedule also doesnt say when there would be lessons given. i just dont see how it is possible for someone like HD to give lessons, compete in the tournament, and cast the tournament too o_o
