A firm I worked at was hired by some people in Dubai to come up with some building schemes with a horse as the inspiration. Horses are symbolically significant to their culture (please don't be offended if this is innacurate in any way). While it can be argued by some that this is not architecture and is tacky or gimmicky, this is what they paid our office to come up with and they were satisfied with the designs.
