Mek on OD is pretty ass these days since people are playing OD for the mega-late game (sheep bkb shivas/refresher type late) so you start with a midas or force depending on how well the enemy can pressure your farm and go from there. OD needs like level 11 before he's even good in large-scale engagements anyway. | ||

OD needs like level 11 before he's even good in large-scale engagements anyway. well you cant exactly compare it to viper since doom gets the meele block and viper only the range block. and the block was buffed in the last patch so it isnt as awful at it was. personally i still dont buy it on doom i prefer drums over meka / vangaurd into /sblade or cuirass straight | ||

So if you plan on ever using the mek you have to get additional mana and and mana regen or arcane boots. If you do that you are basically a durable support and your lategame is rather weak. Not something you want to do with doom in pubs, because you can't trust anyone but yourself in pubs. Vanguard is not as terrible as people make it out to be all the time, it isn't the best item but because you need some health regen to stay longer in lane and anyway have a stout you might as well make a vanguard and try to force early fights. | ||
