I've played support in those situations a bunch of times, and I've had carries that expect me to somehow magically keep away the opposing heroes while they picked a farming hero with ZERO laning power. If you try to contest a lane like that as a support, the only thing that will happen is losing all your regen in 2 minutes, dying and/or being too poor to buy boots for the first 10 minutes. If you don't want to deal with that kind of early game, don't pick carries that can be bullied for free in the laning stage. You're going to get wrecked in lane 90% of the time, and 10% of the time that you don't is only because the enemy offlaners are terrible or picked really bad offlane heroes that should never be played in that lane. | ||

I picked LC for woods and ended up in the safelane because someone randomed enigma. that being said, I got right clicked to death by a fucking 500 HP Skywrath who blew all of his regen because of creep aggro alone. imagine if my potm would just click on him every once in a while. thats all I ask for. | ||

If you try to contest a lane like that as a support, the only thing that will happen is losing all your regen in 2 minutes, dying and/or being too poor to buy boots for the first 10 minutes. that just happened to me. one of my teammates randoms spectre and i play cm. he went to his lane with quelling blade salve against weaver or weaver+earthspirit. he couldnt even walk up to the creeps and he lost all his regen after 2mins. so i told him that this wont work out and i will help out the other lanes. of course all he does is complain how the cm lost our team the game and that its my fault that he couldnt farm. so some stats...at the end of the match (40mins) spec had 70cs,3-10-5 while i had 30cs 10-3-12 | ||

Well, I might start with that we had a Treant farming safelane with me as a support Earth Shaker, a Pudge mid who did mediocre, and a Slark/WR in offlane, which also did mediocre. Me and Treant got raped pretty bad in the beginning by this Dark Seer, which made me completely useless on lane, and our farming Treant went for a Vanguard and pipe versus: DS, NP, Jugger, KOTL and a Alc. But the thing is, that he didn't get it before the 35 minute mark, when they were knocking on our door. But my brilliant teammates were so kind to the other team, that they kept going one by one and try to "teamfight" the enemies, also after they have taken all of our tier 2 towers, and just lurking around in our woods, trying to make our team to make mistakes. (They couldnt really push high ground, because of my ulti) So that was a really fun game. | ||

Follow up post to my previous 2 QQs. So after losing like three games on these stupid fad pub pushing strats, I was like "fuck this shit" and spammed that captain button like no tomorrow. Welp, other team tried to draft a push lineup, and I countered the shit out of it. Easiest, stompiest game I have played in a long time. Vindicated. | ||

Pink on my team then decided to prove that it's possible to throw harder and intentionally fed the other team. End result: Wasted 25 minutes of my life and lost mmr while I got to practice last hitting :/. Didn't even rage at him, knew you cant feed the trolls. Damn this community is getting worse and worse. I actually think I might be close to quitting dota. Not impressed by dota today. | ||

I am the Tidehunter. This was a weird game, somehow, people don't like to communicate about their lanes, initially it was me and Skywrath bottom, riki offlane (yeah we switched it asap), prophet in jungle, witch doctor in mid. When I got to solo offlane against viper and slardar, I knew I had to play smart since I just can't pop a 10 charge stick or a 15 charge wand when they dive me. Well nonetheless I get killed twice, but game was pretty even since Skywrath and Riki gave Venge and Zeus a hard time at bot. It was a pretty even game and the score was 9-9. Riki pretty much had a good time after he got Vlads and went on to 12-2 and we were basically winning by a lot 4v5. We were stomping so bad until a few things completely killed our chances. First off, our Prophet basically went unmolested. You kinda expect a prophet with a 5 minute midas to go out with deso and lothars right? Well, our Prophet went for a push build. We had 3 supports (I count Skywrath as a support) and he didn't think of building dps items that would help riki in teamfights? Their Slardar didn't have items too. At the 18 minute mark, he only had treads, stick, and he was building his bkb. Also, there were several teamfights where prophet was afk farming when he fucking had Halbred, you know, something that would really really help against Slardar. We lost that game big time. Also, WD was last pick for our team, should he have gotten Warlock instead? | ||
