No. Sylla needs items and levels which you won't get in the hardlane. A Sylla without items is useless and if your bear dies you feed 300 gold to the enemy which is MORE than a kill. Yeah he is not that good. He WAS good, but now he is not. What? Syllabear gets levels and gold in offlane better than practically any other hero (obviously somewhat matchup dependant) as well as stunting the progression of the enemy supports.
Its quite rare to feed the bear, since it can be sent back to base or resummoned. When it does happen, its nowhere near as much gold as a kill since there is no AoE team gold like there is from hero kills. Etc.
Syllabear does kinda follow the furion route sometimes though where after screwing with the lane for a bit the enemy supports hit 3 or so and he sometimes has to ditch the lane for jungle or w/e. Its better than starting in the jungle by a wide wide margin.
I mean, admiral bulldog, the current syllabear legend, plays him almost exclusively in the offlane (although occasionally safelane solo). How do you even argue this?

There is really no point in arguing with you. You already showed us that you think that since pros do something than it must be right instead of using your brain. And btw, you can't resummon/recall if they are attacking the bear and there are heroes who can lock him down for a long time.

Oh rox.kis is running syllabear offlane RIGHT NOW?
Must be terrible wtf do they know. If only they hired BlitzerSC to tell them how to play dota they'd do so much better.

Bear starts with 1400hp (And is at 1800 by 2 points in bear, ideally your level 3), you can't resummon him for 3 seconds after damage, you really think that early on you're going to get locked down for so long they can burst 1400hp and you can't run the bear under tower/away? (especially in a public match?).

So what? You wont get level 3, if you wont lead the innitial creep pull under your tower, you have to micro the bear like the pros to not loose creeps in LoS and not loose bear either, your average LD in pub match wont be capable of doing that.

got a good laugh out of this.
excuse my ignorance but has anyone researched/does anyone know the effect the "enjoyment" ratings you give after a game has on your future matches, if any?

so you assume some competency from LD but none from trilane supports, yeah, that makes no sense. if supports are mildly competent, they will be prepared for it and make the bears life hell, because its not that hard to rightclick the bear with one hero and block the creeps with the other. bonus points for rubick TK the bear on cliff/behind the trees somewhere.

If you disagree, then you are wilfully ignoring facts.

Level 15 sf on my team. Took no points in Shadowraze

What's the point of taking it if u never hit em anyway????? Maybe hes contributing moar that way

one of my longest game (73) mins
it was all pick so the draft wasn't well, i was the only support with 4 carry, the opponents had a better team overall
we took down the middle barrack quickly then it was a constant back and forth, at the end we left their throne at 5% of life, andinstead of pushing together the carries went one by one and got destroyed
they made a counter push and we lost
i was about to uninstall my game

I hate the Dota 2 servers atm. Three games in a row auto-disconnect (the one with the red writing in the top right corner) and the game is not able to reconnect to the servers to rejoin the game, so I have to leave those games and now I am in the low priority matchmaking pool -___- fuck this shit.....

Prophet, brood, phantom same team what the fuck is this.
These kind of comps are retarded and stupid to play against.

why does no one ever, ever, ever buy detection on pubs

you can do a quick experiment, buy the dust/sentry and drop them on courier and tell team to take them, >50% chance that they still won't pick it up lol.
Generally speaking if they knew the importance of detection they would have bought them already, oh the horror when I see that everyone in the oppo team has a detection on them after I had a nice winning streak. It is all MM's fault.

Had a DK who spent half of his game gold (maybe more) on sentry wards because of a BH. Eventually he got a Gem...then lost it...then went back to buying up sentries en masse. Nothing like him planting four of them in a 2000 range area every time we had an engagement.
Was a good thing our whole team had snowballed, because if we actually needed items from him...
