Also anyone that cliff jungles prophet needs to be banned from this game forever. Every single one of them refuses to look around the map for really easy kills. Had like 2 heroes really low at different times while i was solo laning as WR. Any tps from prophet? OF COURSE NOT CAUSE HE'D RATHER SIT ON A CLIFF AND BE BEHIND ON FARM. Game goes 55 minutes and the team fight trades fluctuate between both teams. We're down 2 sets of rax and opponents are pushing bot. What does prophet do see 1 hero through the fog figures hes alone AND GOES AND THROWS HIMSELF INTO THE WHOLE TEAM THAT WAS SITTING THERE WAITING FOR HIM. He went full pushing build with necro 3, deso, aghs and yet we fucking lose a 55 minute game cause he's never out there pushing out the lanes. Anytime a hero looked to be alone he'd tp in to solo gank and obviously 2 enemy heroes were just farming their jungle near buy and counter ganked his sorry greedy self... Why does icefraud and his MM solo queue system have to hate me :/ -30 have only 5 stacked for one game and basically played 5 support every game.. Can only do so much as a support when your farm has sorry farm.... 2-7 because of being stick with solo queue people that have zombie brains and the reflexes of a 100 year old person.... Like this shit needs to be fixed. That last game was the only basically even loss of the day... Every one was a god damn stomp because every single person in Solo Queue MM thinks they can go ham on EVERY SINGLE PERSON WITHIN 2 MINUTES AND GET KILLS. I'M SORRY THIS ISN'T A PRO GAME AND YOUR NOT IN A TRI-LANE STOP SACRIFICING FARM JUST TO FAIL AT GETTING KILLS YOU WON'T GET IN THE FIRST PLACE FFS. Match ID if you want to see the terrible dmg. 298939063 My solo lane experiences in games is complete trash as i get forced into it by team picking a jungler. Made some really stupid and careless mistakes that I picked out as I played. Plus my farm was probably at a shit lvl as well. Not like my team fared any better :/ Oh and forgot 1 more thing to rant about. IF YOUR A GOD DAMN CARRY AND ENEMY TEAM HAS STUNS AND MAGIC DMG BUY A GOD DAMN BKB FFS. DONT RUN INTO A FIGHT AND GET STUN LOCKED TO DEATH AND FOCUSED DOWN BY MAGIC DMG THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT GETTING MELTED. SCREW YOUR OTHER ITEMS AND JUST BUY A BKB SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY LIVE LONGER THEN SUPPORTS LIKE MYSELF IN FIGHTS. BKB IS AMAZING ITEM. Valve should put that on every single carries recommended item as it's what most pubs use anyways. Especially all the BH's that thing rushing battlefury will win them games.... Then sit and get shit for farm and dont gank at all in the games or use track..

My UI bugs out so I pause and say I'll be back in a minute, instantly gets unpaused by the BH on my team and I die... I can never believe it when your own team unpauses. I had a brief minor emergency pop up during a game. Asked for a pause and hit the button. Went away. Two or three minutes tops and dealt with it. Came back...one of my own team had hit unpause and we'd lost a fight in the meantime. Seriously...I can understand it if people pause and just say nothing, you have no idea whats going on. And I can even understand the other team wanting to be a bit dickish and play the "pause/unpause" fighting game with your team. But why the hell would you want to screw over your OWN TEAM by unpausing when they're not there unless its been like...5-10 minutes with no word?

First off, he always randoms. The problem is he can only play decently well with like 5 heroes. If he gets anything else, he sucks balls. He also have about zero gamesense, and his mmr is so low that all our teammates are usually just like him, and because we are in a 2 stack and my mmr is higher, our opponents are going to be better as well. He also takes criticism about as well as a third world dictator. But he's a good friend and I don't just want to abandon him or tell him straight up that he sucks. I dunno what to do ![]()

OR stop caring about wins and play with the guy anyway. Make lighthearted fun of him when he fails. Eventually he should get better right?

Eventually he should get better right? Is that how you treat your friends? "You suck! Step the fuck up or go somewhere else!". Remember that friendship goes both ways. I have played a lot with him only for fun, not caring wither I win or not. But he has been playing this game since before I got a beta key, and he's been playing it near everyday as well. So if he is getting better, its very slow. And now that I've decided to get better at the game myself, its doubly frustrating to keep getting loss after loss after loss because he wants to play with me.

Something I do sometimes with my noob friends is say something like "BTW this was a neat video/guide [link to guide on the thing they suck at] I read earlier, I learnt a lot from it; check it out when you get the chance"

I have a couple of friends who want to learn dota 2, but they are at like below 20 games and just die do to not knowing about specific heroes(wisp was an eye opener for them). They know they suck, though, so its easier for me. My girlfriend wants to learn to, so that is going to be another level of learning. You know your friend better than us, so you know what he will respond to. I personally lightly mock my friends when they make stupid decisions or warn them with phrases like “you are going to regret that”. The key with telling someone they screwed up is to not dwell on it. Just let them know they made a mistake, but also let them know what they can do next to get back into the game. To many people focus on the mistake and trying to drill it into someone, as if dying didn’t do that. If you need him to buy an item like Mek, explain how good it is for him(mek makes you super tanky for a support) and how it will also help the team. One of my buddies loved building orchid on Enchantress until I told him how Mek would make being in the jungle easier with all the regen and armor. It was like a new world for him and now he just tried to build mek on any support he can. Also, just tell him you want to focus down on playing a few heroes. Find a good combo between one of the five heroes he is good with and just focus on that. I play a mean Disruptor, so one of my buddies always takes Drow Ranger, since they work well together. Its not some game breaking combo, but it works for us. Don’t get caught up the “meta game” for pro players. Just run Sven and KotL for unlimited stuns and have fun with that. Pub games are not team games. P.S. I am not amazing at Dota 2, but I play with a lot of people who are way worse than me.

You know I've played over 2k games and I still haven't seen a Troll that didn't suck. I'd gladly have Troll players in every game if Axe players could disappear from Dota forever.

I do not dwell on their mistakes and do not point them out in the first place, but rather subtly tell them what to do next instead of trying to sound bossy. It doesn't help telling people how bad they are because they it will just create a negative atmosphere. Rather laugh when it is applicable, and talk between yourselves about how that situation should never happen again. I've also found a way of letting my friends support the team by saying how good a certain item will be. It works sometimes!

If you want to blow off steam, look no further than http://dev.dota2.com Some gems: I am being matched with people that have no experience when I have been playign this game for 7 - 8 years. I cant get out of this shity league because every game I have a fucking shit pudge that cant land a single hook, or a silencer that doesnt pop his ult in fights, or supports that dont support. HOW HARD IS IT TO INTRODUCE A SYSTEM THAT WORKS? THIS IS SIMPLY THE WORST MATCHMAKING IN ANY FOR OF GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. and not by a little, by a lot. SIMPLY THE WORST. Im not exaggerating ONE BIT. You are ruining the game I love because I constantly get teamed up with TRASH that refuse to cooperate with the team. I ask for a courier, they tell me to go suck their dick. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON VALVE? After 8 years of dota I dont want to play with people that are absolutely clueless about what a team game means. The worst part is that my account is completely and utterly fucked now as I keep getting reported because of trolls who like to report the people that are actually trying to play as a team. I have gotten reported before and sent to the low priority queue because I asked for WARDS from a support, He then decided with his other 3 nooby friends to report me because of this. You are probably not even going to read this so why am I even bothering, keep on with the shit matchmaking and your game is going absolutely nowhere. I found a solution to this matchmaking, at least in my opinion, and i have incredible fun with it, even if its a 100% lose. If i have a mid player that dies several times mid, i start to feed. If i play support and i buy everything, wards, courier, doing my job, and my carry fails once, i feed. If i play carry and there is ever 1 ward missing from map, and we dont have vision, i feed. Untill now this happened in 20 games out of 23, my win ratio decreases like mad, but i don't care, i simply don't give a fuck anymore, i am in that stage where i want to have fun no matter the costs for my team. Simply because i have shit teams. I think i got reported for intentional feeding every game, yet i have never been muted or in LPQ Eh i dont really have that big of a problem with people that are bad or inexperienced at the game, what rustles my jimmies are the trolls and the guys with no idea of how to play. Letting parties join matchmaking games is a really bad idea. You can't have an balanced game when there are large disparities in the skill and experience levels between players, even if there are bad players on both sides. In cases like that it just comes down to which team has the better players on high-impact positions. AND YOU DONT KNOW WHO IS THE BEST PLAYER ON YOUR TEAM BEFORE PICKS, BECAUSE RATING IS HIDDEN. The only way to secure enjoyable games is to make matchmaking solo-queue only. That way every game will be 10 players of somewhat equal experience and skill. Parties can get a seperate unranked queue or something. // Dota II matchmaking public void MatchMaking(playerid){ SetPlayerInTeam(1,playerid); if(GetWinLossRatio(playerid) > 0.50){ for(int i = 0; i < 4;i++){ SetPlayerInTeam(1,GetRandomNoob()); } for(int i = 0; i < 5;i++){ SetPlayerInTeam(2,GetRandomPlayerOnSameLevel(playerid)); } }else{ ExecOtherMatchMaking(playerid); } } Since i've noticed these games are too imbalanced, if I see there is an imbalance in the start (ie my team doesn't know how to pick/distribute lanes etc) or they do general failures, such as no warding/chick, or they die for no reason, can't properly last hit/maintain lane equilibrium, I will run into enemy and ensure that the game closes as soon as possible, therefore destroying the experience for everyone. Why? Because my experience is also destroyed by having so bad players in my teams. ![]()
