oh, sure, you didn't buy the courier, but you sacrificed your fun for the team, right? and sure you stopped buying wards around the 30 minute mark but it's the thought that counts.
news flash, support isn't some altruistic thing you do to feel high and mighty while being ass-terrible at it.
I say this cause every support on reddit seems to be one of these.
Also, recruiting for a support is almost as frustrating as finding a mid. you get those people who're like "i play everything" when that actually means they have 135 games as pudge, 63 as riki and 221 as invoker and they just saw us recruiting and go "lol, how hard could support be? i'll learn as i go"
Some people just do not know what the word support means. In general, I just play support because I solo queue and some of the time, people just do not ward, do not buy courier and do not try anything like pulling or stacking as a support. I have some games I just buy wards on my own and end up being underleveled, underfarmed, but boy oh boy these wards assists with our wins.
EDIT: made a poor generalisation.

Played 13 games of dota today.
Only won 5.
I feel like in 3 days i've gotten really worse at this game. Fundamentally and mechnically i've lost the touch for the game. Maybe it'll be better tomorrow.

I've played Sniper mid recently. I've encountered NS, turned rng god mode and rape NS twice in mid lane solo, because 99% of my right clicks were headshots - LOL, still proceeded to lose the game, because our team fucking sucked.
Can't win with sniper ;/

dota can be a depressing game sometimes guys...depressing in a fun way.

Hahaha that's way less bitter than me :
http://i.imgur.com/dnIiOb3.png http://i.imgur.com/aFakyyZ.png
On 27 games, i won only 4. Most depressing is that i didn't get dropped to high game despite that which would allow me to get paired to better players.
Every single heroes i tried didn't work. Even my best heroes which i had a 70% winrate.
I got out of this when i finally sensed that :
- The metagame has completely changed since the patch and that even heroes that didn't get directly buffed/nerfed got affected because of the delicate relationship between all heroes. - And since the official release, there are more and more "trash" player, even in very high, in my opinion. Probably, a massive amount of guy who had "placement" game.
So i reworked my playing style + hero pick. Picked a ultra defensive play since there were a lot more agressive "rambo retard" :
- Omniknight : 9/14 - Treant : 8/9 since that time.
But almost everytime i try to play agressive support (my original style), i get punished really hard. I have no confidence even in my pre-patch best heroes. Every game, i feel like i have to look out for the mistakes of my teammate. I have to tell them when they overextend, they makes mistakes in positioning and so on... and all that in a manner that won't wound their inflated "progamer" ego. Furthermore i have to wait for the mistakes the rival team does. That's really depressing. Fuck MMR for packing me with all those noobs in need of HARDCORE babysitting. /QQ end

haha i broke my undefeated invoker streak......i only had 6 games with him though.

We were winning (dominating early and mid-game) and then clockwerk suddenly decides to go afk so we lose...later he comes back and says "wtf? where are our rax?!".

people who get a couple of kills and think that makes them better players somehow

They are always acting like support is the hardest fucking role in the game, and they are some kind of martyrs for playing it. It's really not, and I play support most of my games. actually it's generally agreed support is the hardest to play but so many people use that as an excuse to feed because "rofl im the support im supposed to feed a lot."

So...just got stomped 5 times in a row tonight. Sometimes I hate dota 2 matchmaking. You get fuckwit Chens who don't buy boots until 35mins. You get prophets that max teleport and tree trap first instead of treants and tries to jungle (was the lowest level by 5 levels) and never joins a teamfight or ganks until he's finished midas, shadow blade and treads. whyyyy

wa...played broodmother vs kunkka, undying, luna. Why do I get the feeling that Broodmother is a good hero in theory but just really shitty in practice because any form of aoe rapes her?
I managed to kill the hard carry for first blood but a minute after that a 3 man gank came on me...and from there on the game just got worse. Ended up with a terrible score, 2/11/4.
some games

Playing with a stack in Random Draft. I tell them that my worst position is mid, but I play a great DS off lane. Every game I have last pick and everyone refuses to take mid. I play some of the worst DP of Beast Master my life. Finally, I get to redeem myself with Puck, but it was still an embarrassing night of Dota 2.
And Darkseer was in every single random draft...

After ~50 games at low level the only three thing that win games are: - Someone disconnects for some reason and don't ever come back. (it's like every fucking game)
- People get split pushed and die slowly by doing nothing more than running around like headless chickens.
- "oh yeah, they have riki, nyx and shit, i better walk around the map alone all the time, and never protect the guy carrying the gem"
Another classic way people lose in pubs is "hey we're doing great here! But where's their fifth guy I haven't seen him all ga-OH GOD SIX SLOT ANTIMAGE/LIFESTEALER/FACELESS VOID/ALCHEMIST/WHATEVER". Never, ever forget about that one guy off farming if they're stalling you out. >_> you just have to push while he's off farming. The rest of his team will try to fight it out 4vs5, die, rax gets taken out and by that point he shouldn't be too much for you to take on. Well, either that or just don't let him freefarm (unless you have a better freefarmer)
You're sort of implying that pubs know how and when to push rather than all running away terrified when the other team's Crystal Maiden pokes her head out from behind a tower. Or how to punish a freefarmer.
Thats WAAAAAAY too advanced for the average pub team.

What you need is a lane like I was left with this one time. Me...on my own...as Vengeful Spirit against Broodmother. Whilst anyone with AoE heads off happily to the other lanes.
Yeah, I got pretty much zero farm, died a couple of times and almost immediately lost the tower. -_-

Also from this weekend: the continued tales of Idiot Riki
We 4 stack and one of us picks AM because we needed carry. The random guy, who is last pick(valve, random guy should be hard coded to first pick, trust me) picks riki. Then takes the safe lane, because, why not. Tries to back stab creeps with full health so he pulls the entire waves agro and is always at half health. We try to tell him how to engage and he keeps saying “guys, worry about your own play, not mine”. I play KotL and I keep getting jumped because Riki is pushing the lane so much. Finally, after being unable to get a single kill, Idiot Riki goes AFK and the game ends.
It was so bad the other team said “sorry guys, you got the pub riki this game.” I hate Idiot Riki.

fucking silencer goes late game dagon for killstealing and i am 3 short of breaking my record when game ends fuck

I was Huskar, we had a Bane in our team ( he was from Sri Lanka apparently ?!?!? ) and we were against Rubick and Timbersaw. I ask Bane to be careful to not let Rubick steal brain sap. His answer ? "Dude that's like the worst spell he could steal". ALLLLLRIGHT DUDE, I guess that 300 pure dmg vs Huskar is bad. Also the enemy Timbersaw kept whining about me playing Huskar. And I thought Timbersaw was a counter to Huskar, but I guess that 3 pure dmg skills aren't that good against my hero LOL.
edit: And then I get the retarded 4 men german stack who is really bad and thinks they are king of the world. Allright MM, I got it, you don't want me to win games today even though I get the best starts in the world. I killed the enemy mid FOUR fucking times and my match gets ruined because our carry ( PA ) decides to build bfury and 3 of my teammates ( Chen, Mirana and Dirge ) don't understand that we should fucking push towers.
edit2 : another game where I have a great start and these two dudes on my team ( Furion and Timbersaw ) decide to not push and farm instead against midas void. Gotta love playing with greedy jews.

I'm just tired of the qq'ing all over the place, and it's quite sad it's come to the point where you won't help the others. It's a game in which you have the ability to influence the development in-game by means of gameplay OR communication. Ok, so someone suicided, had a horrible laning phase or was off-the-mark in teamfights. The immediate reaction is rarely not "you're shit x. why werent you there x? lol black hole" or something similar. So much of this happens when no one on the team has uttered a word beforehand. How's five guys, sometimes with groups of 2,3,4, supposed to coordinate in this game with the same idea for execution in mind.
I don't know how much communication is the right amount, and how much knowledge of timing one should expect, but too often there is none at all. Except of course, and ironically so, the flaming afterwards! :D And you can probably be right when you're expecting better plays from certain people, but in my eyes you should do everything to help the team out, even if it means
"GG mid won't gank". Well maybe he gets the farm he needs to really have an impact later. Sometimes trying to fix the wrongs in a lane could backfire hard when the opposing team reacts to the rotation from the middle player, meaning he comes out even worse in the mid-duel. Propose to rotate jungle, or ask them to get wards up properly and play cautious as hell.
Alot of this is fixed - (there are language barriers and extreme cases, mind you) - through using the in-game voice chat. If you rage over bad picks (this one includes me heavily), then simply group up or go CM. Try to make it work, but don't expect people to blindly follow your advice or that they read your mind when drafting.
After all these years of DotA, the one thing I've learned is that it's never going to go exactly as planned, and one is only further minimizing chances for a wellplayed game when communication is entirely absent. People, use you're mics. Use them before everything goes haywire.
The amount of hindsight in this game is mind-boggling, and the amount of predicting is alarmingly low. :D
My 0.02$ these days! :D

Not really a QQ but I was playing a game as CM, game was quite close and tense (eventhough we were definitely on the winning side after starting quite far behind). I denied the aegis by mistake. I don't even know how that happened. I was trying to see who go it, and i saw "cm has denied the aegis". Oops. Fortunately we won the teamfight anyway right after that.

This reminds me the game I has last night where our morphling gives first blood to an offlane troll because he/she morph agi instead of str when red hp. Having a bad day, being outplayed, outdrafted etc etc.. is different than being a bad player. Later on, 9 people agree on he is plain bad.
