...what the hell are you talking about? I didn't drop a sentry IN the camp. I dropped it about a quarter screen away and then dewarded the camp, which works every time. No problem. What they'd done, however, was DOUBLE block the camp with two wards and I couldn't find the second. I assumed the second had gone for the double block spot on the left side of the camp but it wasn't there, so I guess there must have been one in the third spot on the upper right. But since I had basically no money I couldn't afford additional wards to check the third typical spot. And nobody else thought it was smart to actually do something about the camp despite insisting on a trilane. I'm not a goddamn idiot, thanks. I know how to deward a bloody camp. On reflection a temporary solution might have been to eat a couple trees and do a double pull, but it'd still need dewarding.

Yes because clearly standing in lane as a defensive trilane vs a dual lane and ruining my carry's levelling is exactly what I want to do in this situation. Great idea.
You have to pull when working defensively on a trilane. Its not solely about denying your units. Its also about taking out the neutrals for extra experience which is a fairly crucial aspect for it to work properly. If you're being aggressive then its fine because you can just harrass and kill for the XP, but thats an entirely different matter.

Alright, but my point is I dropped wards in exactly the right spot...it was just double blocked and I couldn't find the second and didn't have the money to continue searching.
And now I'm laughing a bit at myself because I can't help thinking "you weren't there, I was there, man!" like I'm having flashbacks. X-D

Played a game against Dire team carry the other day. Couldn't help but shake my head and laugh. Wonder if halfway through the pick phase someone said "screw it. team carry!"
Sentinel: Troll Warlord, Clockwork, Sand King, Nyx, Enigma
vs.
Dire: Chaos Knight, Riki, Faceless Void, Anti-Mage, Kunkka

In real life you can't just kick idiots that you have to work with. You can try to avoid working with them in the future, but you often have to make do with what you have to finish the current project as well as you can. Learning how to work with people you dislike or even consider complete idiots is often necessary in life. They may even be your boss. Good luck telling them to fuck off after only an hour of work.

In real life most of the time you can show yourself(take credit) if you are better and others suck. Less and less, you just do you best, be decent and drop your MMR in the end.
In dota 2, you don't get any credit for trying your best and lose at the end. You must win at the end even thou it means to play with %200 efficiency(rarely happens to be honest).

In a work or school setting in real life you would tell someone that they are a retard and need to shape up or be kicked out? I take it you've never actually had a real job, have you?
If you're actually trying to help these people that you will never play with or hear from again, just give them your advice (nicely) and shut the fuck up. You're not helping anyone by calling them a retard or starting a fight during a game. These aren't your peers, coworkers, or group members on a real-life project. These are people playing a video game for their enjoyment. If you want a team of peons to do what you tell them to do, go into team matchmaking.
Dumb people exist everywhere, on the internet or otherwise. You can't change them, and railing against them at every opportunity will get you nowhere. Work within your limitations.

rarely does profs not allow you to kick idiots from your group. and on the rare occasion they dont, it will be like dota2 where i carry.
learning how to deal with you dislike is a better way of approaching life. if you happen to work for an awful boss, just think why hes the boss and you his minion, or be a lil bitch and bitch and moan to your friends afterwork.

A. I've managed a restaurant of 12 employees
B. I do exactly what you said in games, except for the cases where the guys im trying to help flame the team after being awful. very rarely does that happen because most ppl that get to be on a rare 1 page game when my 4 stack gets them as a random and actually wants to tries/wants to win.
C. I dont try to change anyone, i just deal with them.

I've seen that happen a tiny handful times to be honest, probably can count the number of times on one hand but it always sticks in my mind as one of the most mindblowingly ridiculous things to do.
I don't even want to know what is going through their mind. I mean...I don't think even the valve default guide (which is pretty crazy in some cases) recommends arcanes on Tinker. Where in the world did they come up with the idea from? Is there some youtube video of an arcanes tinker dominating or something?
|
it happens when people who have never seen a proper tinker are playing tinker. They just assume he works like a regular caster and dont put the pieces together.
|
Well, if you *could* rearm arcanes the theory behind them is pretty awesome. Not everybody knows you can't

mostly likely this. when tinker was released i don't think BoTs were standard for a long time, which just goes to show that it's not immediately obvious
|
Yeah he never played tinker before, but he bought BoTs later and started tping around and marching creep waves.
|
There's a lot of bad item choices you make when ur new to the game. I remember I used to never buy blink dagger, and my most played heroes were Centaur and Tidehunter. Why? Because i didn't like the idea of spending 2k on an item that didn't buff my stats or offer utility in any way (who needs blink as an initiator anyway? xd). Fun times. I also used to make Aghs on Gyro and Shadow Blade on Sniper every game because fuck yea recommended items!
|
Nothing wrong with shadow blade on sniper. Its a positioning tool that offers perfectly reasonable cost efficiency as a DPS item.
