The first bought courier is always the one being upgraded first as well. It doesnt matter who bought it.
Well that's weird cuz I remember buying my courier first.

To which a guy playing Puck told me to back off because : "Magnus is not a solomid heroe and Pudge can not do anything else" -_- End of the story : Pudge stays mid (with me), getting my farm, and I get threats of report from both him and puck. Oh, and we lost. I've had that happen more times than I care to remember, almost always from a pudge. These days, I ask if anyone wants mid, wait, call mid, hover my hero, wait again for as long as I can, and if i see a pudge or a drow I just automatically choose another role. Nothing else works, and being wardbitch 5 games in a row is still better than having to duo mid with a retard or leave to try my hand at offlane support invoker. Nothing beats the russian void who calls mid against pudge when i'm QoP, refuses to listen, dies three times despite us being 2vs1 because he keeps right clicking pudge when creeps are around and ragequits at 5min mark. I just leave game since its safe to leave, re-queue and get the same goddamn guy on my team. Luckily someone didn´t load so i waited 5min to queue after that.
Note to counterbalance this, ( spoiler alert, i'm bringing positivity in the thread , hope i won't get problem ), I wanted to try CK/Wips dual mid yesterday night with a buddy in AP, and when I announced it I obviously got a "wtf dual mid?" but upon explaining calmy it was just to try special tactics, the guys were ok with it. I went 23/3 with CK this game ^_^.

My biggest QQ with dota 2 is the players.
Such a shit community, no one is nice, no one wants to get better, everyone just plays their game and flames everyone else for their mistakes.
Not only that, people in the community actively spend their time DDoS'ing players in professional matches. LOL so shameful.

@Chronald: The nice players are WAAAAAY more nicer then the bad/annoying people are bad/annoying

got a guy who did that to me earlier with PL.
I picked luna to go with my friend on nyx to safe lane, the guy fifth picks PL (after we both said in chat we're going safe lane) and then insists for the rest of the game he picked first.
Guy fed on PL (didn't know how to use dopplewalk to save his life, literally) and fucked up a good portion of my last hits in lane. We ended up getting dominated since our mid krob lost to a pugna.

agreed.
I love the game, and if I had the time I'd play with a consistent group of 5 all the time. I normally try to play with at least 1 friend or find a group in TL chat or something if I don't have any on, but fuck the community is bad.

If you are a douche then chances are others will always be douchebags to you too

1 thing sir... Leauge of Legends those people are a thousand times for hateful. I saw the light and the way and switched because this game is full of 12 year olds who bitch all damn day.
Also QQ story was playing syllah bear. Said I was gonna solo. clockwerk goblin follows to my lane and takes last hits. This is just the beginning though as DP, Clockwerk, and Kotl KS every kill I could have had by spamming rockets and inconveniently cogging, dp's aoe wave thingy, and pony wave. It's like bro my bear has phase and is close enough to last hit everytime. To make matters worse Dp did nothing to hinder SF's farm or make any calls of him missing and support no get wards (got the get the courier note on his fridge but forgot the whole ward thing). Also had to get armor on the bear before a maelstrom just to make it soo my bear wouldn't get entirely shredded by SF's aura and right clicks.

Pros: I can win a lot more often than I lose and get to a high enough MMR to be in spectator games while still being a relative noob to this video game genre. After all, I'll get carried much more often than I get sandbagged if I can identify sandbaggers at hero select and quickly duck out of the game.
Con: It takes over an hour of idle internet browsing before I find a match if I get an unlucky string. For instance, morphling pickers, dusa pickers, guys typing in portugese in text chat, and pairs of guys arguing in voice chat while using HoN names for everything, all in a row. One of those nights :/ My QQ: people like this. Can think of nothing worse than someone disconnecting at the hero selection screen and wasting 10 minutes of 9 other people's time.

if everyone reports the person who dc at/right after picking he will get low prioritized. dodging is for nubs. i play first page games very often and i still refer to some heroes by their hon names, like defiler and slither.
|
How does dodging actually work? Is it before the pick timer ends? Before the game starts? Before picking a hero? Can they leave>abandon>new game or do they have to wait out the five?
And yeah, I pretty much always report people who do it. I guess i might be tempted if nobody on my team ever responded in english and all 4 picked melee carries and one was mid or feed guy. Maybe then. But leaving the instant there's a morph on the team is pathetic.

Agreed, the worst part is that this is increasing in popularity. It's happening in my games more and more often. It's not classy, it's totally douchy, and when you brag about it it doesn't make you look clever, it makes you look like an asshole.
I almost feel like boasting about that shit on teamliquid should be worth a two day temp ban or something.

people just leave and abandon and q for new game. im not sure on the exact timer but it works even if everybody has picked heroes and click play. you dont get an abandon for it.
more and more people doing this now and getting away with it because not enough people report this kind of abusive behavior.

Long time lurker, first time contributor of this fine thread
+ Show Spoiler + I'm the WR.
Seriously, what the fuck was I supposed to do there? I was 2-0-4 up until the fountain dives happened. Io, Slardar and BH were shit talking each other all game. Slar kept getting caught out in the ass end of nowhere. I did what I could but there's only so much a semi-support like WR can do. Lion was decent and got some nice kills in the early game with me so I feel like he was getting caught in the crossfire more than anything.

Just got my first dota 2 game with someone intentionally feeding... in over a 1000 game. Can't believe this big stupid piece of garbage. After our mid tinker died a couple of times he started whining gg and repeatedly ran down middle to get killed. He didn't even stop after our Gyro single handedly owned their team and got a quad kill.
He has being doing this for 20 minutes straight. TWENTY fucking minutes. How does a normal human being even has the patience to keep doing such a thing. God. I can't believe this.
Sorry had to vent.

hope you/team reported him. when multiple ppl report he will get low priority for sure

See, the community is not "SHIT", the half portion (or a big portion of) the community is. Not everyone is a crap, bullshit, etcetc. If you want to have a good stack, a good community, and everybody is being nice and wants to get better, then it's very simple. Get yourself a group (a 5-man stack/team). Go play Inhouses. That's it.
To be honest, if people still think that people are not nice, welcome to the DotA 2 Public Matchmaking.

Get called bad because I am not too happy about WD KS'ing everything and they all act like I am in the wrong. But I guess I should have expected Kill steals all game with a sniper in it but this was ridiculous with this WD. I mean he had 17 fucking kills the sniper only had 12........

You guys are worse than the 9/10 guy who queues and doesn't click decline or accept wasting everybody's time. And you try to justify it, but you come off as entitled brats.

- Got TA as our first pick - Team picks 3 more carries - Last person randoms leshrac, but goes mid (where I'm already at) and steals all my farm with max lightning build - Become support TA ward bitch, keeping wards up and de-warding enemy wards until enemy qop gets gem - Natures Prophet goes dagon 5 - Fairly long game, but we lose as expected - Rotten stache drops for Natures Prophet... insult to injury
