My suggestion for people that are absolutely fed up and frustrated with solo queue would be to do ~10 games solo, and add random teammates to friends that are actually decent.. Eventually after enough games, you will have a decent network of decent/good players built up on your friends list to queue with.

Seems dota decided to give me a losing streak again. Last game I had a naix who went boots, midas and level 3 dagon (that he rarely used). Not sure I want to see what they will come up with next.

I really don't know what to do anymore. If I pick a carry, the whole team will as well and we'll get pushed to death, if I pick a support, I get carries with 10 apm and no last hitting ability. They are beyond the help of any amount of wards.

I don't understand, how come I never play against teams that have no idea what they're doing and hand out free wins? I know people like to say that playing with stupid people is a reflection on yourself, but I only got the game a few months ago, actually spent time reading, learning, and practicing, only to have no ability to impact the game on my own. There should be some kind of placement match system so you don't always have to start at the bottom of the barrel and hope you get enough lucky games to move up the mmr ladder.

Dont pick hard supports. Pick semi carries that work on a lot of lanes and can impact the game on their own. So you arent screwed if your mates pick shit or cant farm. There are also quite some heros that can somewhat support and still have a big impact (Sand king, Magnus, Windrunner, Dark Seer).

In the End, if you play well you will win more than you lose and get better players. If you dont have any impact in a game with bad players, you are just not good enough. Also post replays or your dotabuff profile if you really want help.

Every new player to DotA says this. "I get the bad team every game", "If I had a better team I would do better", etc. I have said these so many times to myself.

The whole thing about pub DotA is that you have to judge the situation and skill levels of EVERYONE and not expect the optimal performance from your teammates. Once you learn to recognize mistakes (you say you are a new player so this might be awhile) in others play you will be able to take advantage of those. Trust me, the enemy players will be on average just as bad as your teammates, sometimes you get really bad feeders in all games but this is just part of DotA. Some really great players will queue when tired or stressed and just play poorly and there are of course thousands of shit players.

Try and pick heroes that can heavily impact the game. If your team needs a mid some great heroes that are really mobile and can semi-carry a team to victory on ganks are heroes like Puck, QoP and Storm Spirit, even Doom. If your team needs supports, abuse the meta-game and pick the strongest stuff right now like Nyx, KoTL, Lina. If your team can run a solo lane you can jung up a fast Mek on Prophet or fast blink on Enigma. Gyrocopter is a great carry in pubs because he can still have huge presence in fights if he's underfarmed with just Phase/Drums/BKB because of the nature of his hero and if you do get good farm he solos teams. Sand King, Windrunner and BH are all great solo offlaners that can impact the game heavily. Dark Seer can offlane or jungle and get a lot of gold no matter what, and Vacuum and Surge are spells that are MADE for saving pub games. Omniknight can really hard counter pick a lot of stupid pub comps as well and is devastating in a few pub combos (Huskar/Omni, Enigma/Omni and Ursa/Omni are the famous ones for free BKB)

All of these heroes reward high skill and big plays and allow you to directly affect the flow of the game, while all having room in their builds for things like wards if your teammates absolutely will not buy them if you aren't support.

Overall my biggest advice is just play better though. Just constantly be analyzing and watching and try and take the actions that will impact the game the most. If no one is defending towers ping them and ask for TPs to defend, look at your map, always carry TPs yourself, deny towers, plant wards, buy dust vs riki and pl, be aware of everything, ping runes every 2 minutes, ping when you see ganks incoming, call miss for lanes that arent calling it, look at your map, gank other lanes, farm harder, LOOK AT THE MAP

I guess I will never pick (fill this slot with any kind of 1-spot hero) when I'm going solo queue. F*ck supports.
Whether it has ended with a happy ending or sad, I never was an important thing to you.

Had a game where I was support...3 members on the team went 0/8, 0/9, 0/12. I was 3/3 on my support by the end of it, but that was mostly because you often die in the end phase when they push the t3...It was a rather short game, like 30 minutes? I pretty much had the lane locked down, but the Zeus in my suicide lane(yeah, carries decided they wanted to lane together, smart!) kept diving and dying. Of course they did not speak English, but some offspring of Russian (Why would they if I am on Europe West, with language set to English only).

Turns out the 4 are a team. So after the game I put them all on ignore, press the find match button again...Guess what, get teamed up with them again! Luckily when the game is still connecting one of them gets a failed connection. I pressed cancel so fast when returning to the main screen. That could have been my first abandon . I wish there was some way to make sure you never, ever play with some people again.

I am currently winning about 2/3 of my games playing support only and games have been good in general. It is so nice to play games where I play support with another player and there are wards on the map always, we have meka/pipe, and just good lane control. This only started happening a couple of days ago so I think I am slowly crawling out of the dota sewers.

NOPE, gotta pick that KotL, run to the offlane, and just blast creeps to farm up them BoTs so you can steal Medusas farm.
And the guy who randomed TA repicks into Sniper and goes mid against their Huskar.

Nice utopia mate, but you know just aswell as everyone else here that this just doesn't apply 100%. You can be the god amongst noobs but it is a game you play with 4 other players. Even if the enemy is terribad they will eventually overcome your godhood if your team insists on feeding and doing nothing to help. 1v5 doesn't work out for most of the games, unfortunately, or I would've won a lot more games ^^

Yes yes i hear you but this is the QQ thread, if we followed this we can't QQ anymore cause it will be always our fault

You can QQ about other stuff than "OMG MY TEAM IS SO SHIT" (which is almost every post here).
