I came on to type out a long venting post about how everyone's been leaving, Russians don't select Russian under language and whatever else happened. The last straw was a game with a Lycan and LD. The LD declared he'd jungle and the Lycan said he'd solo. I asked them "Why? Just do it the other way." They respond with Russian over voice and in game. Long story short, they feed like no tomorrow, and play well only later on after they have fed and screwed up every lane. Not bad players, just really stupid when it comes to everything. I queue up immediately after that game and get into my next game.
Those two on the other team...my eyes glowed, I rose a bit in the air and looked up to the sky, the cloud parted and I saw Jesus nodding his head and smiling knowingly. This was it, the day I had always waited for, a chance that I would not waste! I immediately shout out to the leader of the free world and proceed to first blood the Lycan from the last game. It was deliciously awesome, I don't think I've felt greater joy. I ordered a bottle of champagne to be opened and declared that the Russian blood would flow tonight. I got my chance at the LD and did not squander it.
My friends I'm here to tell you do not despair. There is a DotA god, and he will shower you with feeders only to test your resolve. He will reward you as he did Job and myself, just be patient and soon you will be fed delicious ripe Russian carcasses.

I know, most of the time is just an excuse from people being an ass. You missed one last hit and suddenly 'you noob carry and then he starts to hit the creep or even worse, he screw up or fight last hit with you since the start and when you ask he said you couldnt last hit, like, wtf lol???

Played prophet (just to learn him for fun you know) with some friends. While my friends were not doing very good, i went ahead and fed a riki. Riki went boots + 4 wraith bands. Into diffusal blade into SnY

Last game, my team:
Sven with queling blade and morbid mask, nothing else, in 10min.
Naix with basic boots and vanguard in 15th minute.
Dryad didn't leave our jungle for 25min while we lost all towers.
None of them said single word during game, nor carried tp scrolls.
I was centaur and the only one in our team buying wards.
We had no courier whole game.

Can never escape the teammates whining about me farming though. I know that if we have a decent PL on our team, no matter how bad things get, we just have to not feed horribly and he'll carry us through most of the time. It's quite nice. Just had my ENTIRE TEAM feeding when I was PL. I kept telling them "just don't die and I can outcarry their team". Nope. Constantly running into the jungle to gank and getting 4v5d over...and over...and over...then Naix just became too hard to outcarry.
Didn't help that Naga kept doing botched ults.
So yeah, it is possible to lose with him. -_-
On the other hand...further evidence to my hypothesis of messed up matchmaking and accounts stagnating: this account seems to be firmly in "High" now after about a dozen games whereas my main is stuck on normal.
Edit: That being said. Apparently "high" doesn't necessarily mean you won't get Warlocks who compete with you (as Antimage) for farm and constantly autoattack the lane. Nor does it mean your team won't feed for the entire game. 16-1 Viper and 7-1 Night Stalker.

They seriously need to do something about the pause function in this game!!! I am so tired of spending 10 min paused every game because of people with crap computers and crap manners. Pausing wastes my time!
Are there no god damn limits to how many times one can pause in this game!!!?

a person can only pause once every 2min IIRC and you can instantly unpause unless someone has been disconnected.

I think that is insane. Was in a match were one of them left, and we spent 10-12 min paused. In PUB's there should be a limit of 1 pause per player, or no pause at all.

You can pause as many times as you want, but there's a cooldown on a couple of minutes. If the whole team chainpauses, you only have to wait like 3-4 min before you can chainpause again. Pretty ridiculous.
edit: you can't instantly unpause unless its someone on your team doing the pause. If someone on the opposing team is doing it, you have to wait a little. Not sure if its 30 sec or 1 min.

5 secs to unpause, the exception is when one player is DC.
If your team paused, then you can unpause whenever you want

my PC was acting up so got abandon 2 match in a row, went down to LPQ
just playing for shit and giggles, pick sniper. a team mate abandon from beginning so its 4v5 but look like everybody doesnt care and just keep on playing.
20 minutes in Drow decided to AFK in fountain, Lina got upset and disconnect, so its just me + AA against the 5 (Riki, Mepo, Invoker, Troll, BH) for the next 20 minutes
ended up winning with 32-5-11 score but no stats is recorded , QQ

bh CONSTANTLY whines about how he needs hero last hits. i tp mid and gank viper with him and get the kill. i sprouted and hexed him.

he also built battlefury, thought he was amazing and generally made me want to smash his face in.
