Can never escape the teammates whining about me farming though. I know that if we have a decent PL on our team, no matter how bad things get, we just have to not feed horribly and he'll carry us through most of the time. It's quite nice. Yeah, I have that feeling when he is on the other team too: "I hope someone feeds massively so we have a chance." I started to like nature's prophet quite a bit, so I decided I'll see how high of a winrate I get with him. That basically amounts to not ever picking NP if the other team has a drow or a PL. I now have >90% winrate with him. I think that most of my losses are when the other team has a drow or PL, so I basically just avoid games I know I will lose with him. Kind of stupid how correct that has been so far.

I know the feel. I had almost 58% winrate, seems like matchmaking didn't like that :D

decided to start a smurf. and GODDAMN the low level bracket is so fucking frustating :D those guys are beyond terrible, and the worst part is that they think they acutally know what they are doing. immeadiatly stopped after 3 games, most frustating experience in a long time. It doesn't take that long to get into decent-tier games on a smurf solo queue. I got into the high bracket with good players in the second game on my smurf account. So just don't give up :p
I have a theory that accounts get "stuck" at a certain level for the most part and that it becomes exponentially harder to get yourself into higher brackets with decent players as you play more. That is to say as you play your account gets entrenched at a certain level, and unless you somehow manage to start winning EVERY game then you'll never move its MMR again.
Example: My main steam account I played about 400 games. When I created it I selected one above the lowest experience level (because I'd only played SotIS through SC2 in terms of this type of game, so I was very inexperienced but knew a few basics) and it is now firmly stuck in normal.
Made a new account the other day. Selected highest level of experience. Only played seven games, semi-competent teammates in many of them and two games played in high just recently. Playing on mostly gankers and carries,
Seems to support my hypothesis. -_- This argument of "you're playing where you should be playing at" doesn't seem to hold much weight in light of that. Looks like accounts just end up stagnating at a certain level after a certain point.
So yeah, I've had much a similar experience as you have. It seems to be pretty easy to get high bracket with decent players on a fresh account. Its definitely worth a try in my opinion.

"OMG Void why you farming you can't out-carry Alch! We lost because you're never pushing with us!"
All. My. Rage.

Stacks threatening to report if the others didnt follow who they ask you to pick..or where they want you to lane, and what you need to buy lol.
|
Just played a game with an SK on our team, who with his first 7 levels never put a point into Vampiric Aura, yet two points into his crit. He also did not have boots of speed for the first 21 minutes and proceeded to blame losing the game on me as Lina(his support in the lane) because I died trying to place wards to keep them from stacking and pulling. Sigh, it never ceases to amaze me the caliber of people I encounter in Dota

We need a thread for Dota 2 fuckyeah moments or something. This thread does nothing for me right now, nothing! I have nothing to QQ over!

Oh yeah, and also 5man stacks who complain about PL pick(s) when they are playing matchmaking.
Valve should seriously implement something that you cannot queue to normal matchmaking with five man party. That's why the team matchmaking is there, so these groups can play other teams instead of stomping (usually) pubs.

Yeah I had something like that where I was on a huge winning streak at around 500-600 games played and was averaging first 5 pages almost every game but then I kind of evened out and its more like pages 1-30 with it being a tossup where I end up. Everyone is still pretty decent tho.

My current QQ is fleeing, 5% teammates who stop running when I go to save them, especially if they're the carry and I'm actively sacrificing myself for them.
Bonus points if I get raged at as puck because I managed to get my unkillable self out alive afterwards.

Aura pushes the lane and is therefore not taken early.

WTF is up with these people that is not going mid and still use the courier 1 min in to the game.
I lost mid hard because i didnt get my bottle and boots in time. Was low hp in 3 minutes and counldnt get the runes either because the other mid had boots and a flying courier while my courier got crowed 25 min into the game. It was so fucking important for the carry to get ring of protection and a lot of small fucking items at the first min. That he could have bought with his starting gold.
Using courier before 5 mins into the game is CRUCIAL during the 1v1 mid game and make them lose the lane. Stop using it ffs!

Laning with WD as Luna vs Weaver/Lich. Fucking atrocious lane, WD taking the lasthits and constant harassment.
I won 4/20 of my last games and matchmaking keeps giving me shittier teams. Fuck you Valve and your idea of balanced teams.

so theres some kind of bug today where troll has bash on his ranged atacks with what seems like a very fucking high chance, not a fun day of games...

rofl, my rl friend's reason is that 'the guy cant farm anyway so i am taking the last hits'. Which is actually right to some certain extend but usually end up screwing up both people's economy xD we know he is just looking for excuses but still legit when you have some noob player playing carry in team.
Personally I will never do that but the carry will probably get flamed by the whole team if he had nothing after we tried so hard to make space for him to farm. But yeah, so damn annoying to see that especially many of these early game heroes have higher damage or better attack animation.

The thing is, I would understand it somewhat if I missed all the lasthits, but he did it starting from the first creep. Maybe I should abandon my RoP opening and get Slippers...
