Of course we're there to learn and have fun too, but that doesn't mean we also don't TRY. If you don't want to try to win, play a game that doesn't require a team, so you don't have to drag others down. When someone call me a tryhard, I answer "Thank you! I really am! How nice of you to notice and appriciate it". Case in point: Have you ever seen anyone play chess and one of the guys goes "pf! Tryhard.."? Or sc2? Or in fact any video game before or after dota?

The difference is that the game is balanced around having a pick/ban phase in CM, so if you play all pick it's possible to pick "imb" combinations to get cheap wins, that you would not be able to get in a real game. The idea is that AP is not meant to be a serious mode, and trying to win at all cost is cheap.

> Blue first picks WD " holy crap we got a native support player! We might win this! I even got PL out of that pool, from all heroes!" NOPE. Zeus feeds Sniper three kills early game, WD has no concept of lane control/creep pulling/counter warding or whatsoever

They already have the advantage of communication, teamwork and strategy against the 5 randoms, and yet they pick the stupid heroes on top of it just because they think it means they're good when they win.

Strictly I'd call that Valve's problem to solve, not the players'. Why in the world do 5-mans get queued with pickups anyway? Frankly, it's going to be a stomp whether they pick imba combos or not, communication is just that strong. Plus (afaik?) they don't know if they're facing 5 randoms or another clan, so they may as well play properly.

I stomped on a 5 stack the other day. Felt really good.

5 man stacks don't guarantee victories either, it seems that you get put into higher tiers when you group up, so you can get stomped if you're against 5 good players. But that depends on the region, because smaller regions, the pick up team is likely going to contain players equal or lower skilled than the players on the stacked team, which makes it nigh impossible to win if tryhard picks are used. Again, the 5 man tryhard groups are people that think they're good because they can beat a pick up team that have dumb heroes because they picked their heroes for fun factor. Usually they're pretty fucking bad players because when you have 2 friends on and do a tryhard trilane back (obviously after you've been matched against them before), you decimate them and just carry your team to victory

The noob 4 stacks who cant call miss, buy wards/ courier and feed all game are with me........ what........ the ............ flying.......... fuck.............. =.= I REALLY.. REALLY hate 4 stacks.. please get another friend and dont ruin solo queue experience. Most of the shitty games are when I am teamed with 4 stacks when their MMR is inflated but they are just shitty players.

You will only see that when people play as groups since in pick ups, players don't play like try hards because they pick whatever hero they want to. Maybe in groups they also pick whatever heroes they want to, because they want to emulate stuff they watched rather than making completely random picks. Half your post is complaining they pick well, the other half is saying they suck anyways.

"hey pudge, go back mid, stop coming to our lane". "you noob you left your lane at 4 minutes" I've been hearing different variations of this these days....according to them ganking other lanes ,or leaving your lane to help another out..or when they ask for help is wrong, before 15 minutes. I dont really understand where these magical time limits came in aswell.

Our chen starts to say" what mid is asking for gank? ahahah gg noob mid we cant win". It's like, it never occured to him that it's possible to gank the midlane when you have a squishy hero like zeus on it. But it was a hardlane chen (duallane) that never skilled holy persuasion so what would you expect...
