I actually enjoy playing support. Some of my favorites are Crystal Maiden, Bane, Rubick, heck I even enjoy Leshrac. And I was doing really well for a while playing only in Random Draft, getting really good teams to play with and some really awesome people. Heck I even threw out a few commendations for them. I was legitimately enjoying queuing up.
And then what happens next...
Game 1 - 4 russians + me vs two 2 man stacks and a batrider who is probably one of the best players I have faced. My lane partner was a Spirit Breaker who rushed Mask of Madness and then proceeded to charge EVERY VISIBLE ENEMY. I played silencer and of course the other three picks were Drow, Bounty, and Luna effectively making me the hard support. I of course picked first... (this will come up more)
Game 2 - To break up the last game this time I get queued up with 4 russians again. Though this time one of them has enough english to tell me as Keeper of the Light to go mid. My teammates are of course Ursa, Slardar, Phantom Lancer and Dragon Knight. I manage to barely hold on my lane vs a Jakiro Puck dual mid while the side lanes seem to feed Riki continuously. Eventually the only person on my team that has managed to do anything is Dragon Knight and even then it's bad. I again, picked 1st.
Game 3 - No Russians! Yay! However of course to keep things consistent my team has to pick 4 carries (the last guy going Alchemist and claiming he's a tank... not a carry. He proceeds to call everyone noobs for the rest of the game). My laning phase isn't too bad... I give away a death or two, but me and Faceless Void do pretty well about holding our own... at least for a bit. Then I admit I make a few mistakes however by this point QoP has already fed Sniper to the point where there isn't any reason for him to do anything but farm heroes... and boy am I high on his list. I think there are 3 occasions where he 2 or 3 shots me so that I don't even get my regular boots up till we've already pretty much lost. This is the only game I don't pick first.
Game 4 - By this point I'm not sure why I'm bothering, but I hit find match again. Thankfully (I guess) my favorite hero in the game (Bane) is in the pool and I decide to get him thinking my team can build around that pick. They go completely the other direction of the previous 3 games and get Night Stalker, Nyx Assassin, Zeus, and Dazzle. Our opponents go Spectre, Naga Siren, Lich, Phantom Assassin, and Tinker. I'm in the low-middle bracket at this point.... I don't think I have to tell you how the game went.
I just want to know where my good games went... Because I know I haven't been playing well during these, but I can't imagine any person who plays support to be doing well in these...

I am 10 and 29 in my last 39 games. :O, I really need to find friends to play with.
And no there is no "unstuck" command in Dota. When you are trapped on cliffs, you are trapped there until you can get tped/ forced down. Batrider and Rubick are usually the only heros you have to worry about.

Got so fucking owned in a game with 2 friends yesterday I just couldn't fucking believe my own eyes. I got utterly raped by Lina mid when I was playing Batrider, I don't know how that even happens... My final score was a whopping 0-9 and my team fared no better with 2-7, 0-9, 1-9 and 0-13. We just got so outplayed is was silly.
FUCK YOU MATCHMAKING i swear its so fucking annoying. every game is a fucking mess, i get flamed and called out for beeing bad when the flamer picks lanaya as third carry and destroys the game from the beginning. its so fucking stupid.
and then when i hit 130-130 i knew the next game will be good and it went as smooth as possible and we just owned them. how does forced 50% makes any sense, no fun, no progression for the player, frusttrating as hell. FUCK

I don't understand how I could forget how stupid it is to pick hero first. I picked Spirit Breaker and my brother went with Lifestealer (just because it's fun to annoy the opposing team with that combo and we where on a 5 game losing steak so we felt like messing around some). The rest of our team decides that supports are for losers and pick SF, Mirana and DK. Our DK (total retard) ofc wanted to solo lane but somehow he ended up on my lane and started feeding the enemy. Needless to say we got totally outplayed.
Next game, same guy that picked DK is on our team again. Instantly picks DK again and says he wants solo lane, he got mid and began with a few deaths. Fortunatly we had a Ogre magi that went to support me as AM and he was awesome and pretty much gave me some free kills and then helped carry the rest of our team and made sure I could jungle safely. And he did all that while being russian, wish there where more out there like him
I typically queue into the Very high bracket in my solo games and group games when I'm playing with my relatively good group of 1-2 people.. However, I played a handful of games with a few friends of mine that are REALLY bad at this game (as in, just started playing and have no clue what to do).. But I don't mind that, so its fine. Anyways.. So I play around 10 games with them, we were queuing into the normal bracket mostly (I think we got 1 game in the high bracket somehow) even when they had like no games played.
Every game we played we got completely stomped (I can't solo carry 4 other people, just can't).. We lost like 7-8 games straight... And that completely shit on my MMR.. Now I'm solo Q'ing back into the normal bracket ffs..
So back in the boonies.. I solo Q normal bracket game just earlier.. AP.. My team instantly picks BH, Luna, Slark, TA... So like all gank/carry.. So I am forced to play support, so I pick disruptor since we were up against an AM..
The TA was god-awful.. Had no idea how to use Meld to hit, and had no clue how to use trap to slow people he was chasing... The BH didn't use Track (And went battle fury), Luna would continuously ult absolutely nothing (100% air ults)... And the Slark was just 100% useless.. I don't think he hit one leap onto someone the entire game.
We ended up winning the game because I was using Glimpse constantly getting kills, and telling them to gank AM the entire game.. I carried the shit out of these scrubs on a support hero, and we ended up barely winning.
I seriously cannot stand the normal bracket though... Its just awful.. Like it gives me nausea playing with some of these people. <3 the boonies!

This is pretty much why I play Dark Seer and Rubick, sticking people on cliffs is some of the most fun that can be had in Dota. Unfortunately, we're typically unable to exploit the advantage that gives us...I'm not sure why.

Today: Game 1 - Lina. Team is Lion, Void, Engima, Dark Seer. DS top solo, Enig jungle, Lion and Void bottom. I'm mid.
Doing semi-ok mid vs a Rubrick. Problem comes when team has to actually do anything together. Lion is terrible, basically feeding. Void is ok but has some awful chronos although not quite as bad as ones that actually trap your own team and is constantly off by himself whilst we're trying to fight. Enigma absolutely will not come out of the jungle for anything until fights are nearly over. I'm priority target because of my nukes every teamfight.
I end up getting into an argument with Enigma over him never being near the fights and he's just laughing because apparently calling him an idiot for never teamfighting is "crying". Hardly ever actually initiates with Black Hole, uses it part way through after some of us already dead. Void is russian, albeit one of those who can speak english, and ALMOST NEVER TAKES HIS CAPSLOCK OFF BECAUSE HE'S ANGRY OR SOMETHING.
Lose two sets of rax. Eventually opponent gets sloppy, loses a few teamfights in series and we flat out rush down their throne. So a win, but easily the most painful one I've ever experienced. Absolute agony to play out.
Game 2 - KotL immediately drops as soon as game starts and abandons. Everyone leaves right there.
Game 3 - I'm Jakiro bottom supporting a Void. Stacking creep camp and pulling. Harrassing their Shadow Shaman away from the lane (suicide solo, they had a jungling NP). All that good stuff. Shadow Demon and Windrunner top feed a bit. Shadow Fiend loses mid HARD to Silencer, overextends all the time and spends the rest of the game bitching about how nobody helped him. Of course a loss.
Game 4 - Sven. Beastmaster, Nature's Prophet, Omniknight, Bane. Bane mid. Beast immediately runs top with NP. I'm left with Omniknight support in suicide lane vs Death Prophet and Antimage. Omniknight constantly pushes lane, and steals most of my farm as well as constantly leaving me behind to die. I get absolutely no farm. Everyone feed the hell out of their mid Pudge. Top can't cope with a Lion/Lina lane. Basically GG after about five to ten minutes but game drags out until the 45 minute mark.
Pretty sure their AM didn't know wtf he was doing and STILL we got beat down (Vlads before Battlefury into...I think he was building a Heart, no Manta).
This is genuinely getting painful...utterly unplayable with this MM system.
