Stupid connection crashes out and I can't get it working again. Rack up an abandon and feel bad about having screwed my team over. I check dotabuff for the match result this morning (never thought about looking it up last night) and it turns out my team won in a 4v5 (other team was pretty awful and we were fairly ahead even when I dropped, so not entirely surprising but still...). Don't feel so bad anymore. Later on that evening when I'd fixed up my computer problems I get in another game of single draft. I'm trying to work out what to pick between Jug, Omni and I can't remember the third but it was a half-decent mid. Wait for the opposing team to make some picks and for my team to make some picks. Sven on my team so I'm inclined to go with Omni. Guy on our team is hovering over Razor. "Ok, good, he can do ok mid," I think and lock in Omniknight. Guy switches across to Beastmaster and runs to lane with BH whilst ES is supporting Sven. So what am I left with? A mid Omniknight playing against a Windrunner. Yay? Fortunately I managed to persuade BH to swap with me once he'd gotten his first couple of levels. After taking a lot of midgame damage from their pushing we managed to help Sven to get farmed enough to just start smashing through their team and won. | ||

Second game the random player picks AM and proceeds to feed, not speak a word of english, pull without stacking AND dive towers at level 4 for kills. I am not sure what i have done to deserve this but i feel that matchmaking has turned to shit recently. Maybe I have been chucked into a lower bracket because of my new friends but cmon, those randoms hurt matchmaking! They hurt me to my core! | ||

I feel like the 2-3 person stacks against random player is badly balanced. For example with one friend of mine I can't really play as a 2 person stack, 3 or 4 with him and other friends works fine. I think the system somehow overestimates either stacks or better MM players player in a lower bracket because of stacks | ||

Omni mid's actually pretty dope, if you play it right it's pretty much impossible to get pushed out of lane, plus you get solo exp and farm which you need. Only downside is that he can't really get any kills solo against someone competent, you kind of need to wait for someone to misjudge you and attempt to dive for a kill on you or something stupid like that. | ||

A small fix is to search in EU server only but the russians search there by default too T_T So before being able to play in the EU server, russians should be.. lets say 12th lvl? Then the chances that they are that bad are greatly reduced. | ||
