Please remember that while this thread is for QQ and venting about the game, racism is not tolerated here on LD. |

I've read this post 6 times, and I've laughed every single time. The simple i-give-up vibe I get from it is awful and hilarious.

appearently so
new QQ: I got next-leveled so hard. played Weaver vs a Rubick/Dazzle/Luna tri. Saw an opportunity to kill a level 1 Rubick, went for it, almost got him when BAM, Grave.
WHO SKILLS GRAVE IN A FUCKING TRILANE VS A SOLO WEAVER
from there on my game was just shit and I'm mad. The Dazzle also started with branch, Headdress recipe. I lost to that retarded shit. Oh my fucking god

Lineup: dazzle (me), abaddon, puck, drow, shaman.
random draft, I first pick dazzle, call safelane bot support. Our third pick Shadow Shaman pings the fuck out of me and tells me to go offlane with abaddon (against terror blade and silencer). Well, as if that shit wasn't difficult enough to deal with. The game was close until the other team managed to pull off back to back wins over at teamfights. And oh, our abaddon went for vanguard first..
That doesn't make sense tho, placing dazzle and abaddon together. Yeah sure you get mad healing power but against a silencer who will just spam Curse of the Silent and drain Abaddons Mana? I think Shaman + Abaddon would have been better offlane. Abaddon will play 4 and Shaman will play 3, Shaman can spam the forked lightning if silencer gets pesky, then Abaddon can just go heal shield Shaman up if they get dove or whatever.

How do people with matchmaking ranking TBD and less than 100 games played get into 3k mmr matches? Why would that be a starting point for anyone?

But honestly, who is legitimately able to not feed relentlessly in a 3k+ game in their first 100 or so games of dota? It's ridiculous that matchmaking would even put the uncertainty that high.
|
Plenty of people that have prior experience in similar games. Some people are over 5k in 100 games!
After 100 games it's not uncertainty, he already has played a lot of games around that bracket. In your first 10 games you move extremelly fast.

I seriously doubt that. Unless by similar games you mean the original dota. But that's a small percentage of the player pool.

This game: faceless and veno are tbd party. Void doesn't know which lane to go to. Veno goes offlane with bristle even though everyone tells him not to. He dives against a defensive trilane and dies over and over screaming at bristle to help him. These are players that cannot possibly win a game at this skill bracket, yet they got there somehow. I got initially ranked at 2k and stomped my way to 3k. I do not know how mmr works.

So valve decided you can now put multiple player cards from the same player into your compendium, which made me waste 13 p[layer cards because they were duplicates.
Where the fuck is the message that said you already have it in your compendium

I seriously doubt that. Unless by similar games you mean the original dota. But that's a small percentage of the player pool. Most players with HoN experience should be 3k++ easily, for example. Also people who have another dota account. Also original dota players. Hell, experienced and skilled league players should get to 3k inside 100 games no problem.
3k is really low rated. Yes, truly new players won't be at 3k, but it doesn't take thousands of games to achieve 3k.

I want to rant a bit here. It has got to do with playing with friends on a different skill level. I'll admit, I'm not a pro who owns all the games I play, but at the very least, I know my role in the game and I try to do my best to fulfill that role.
The problem is, when playing with some of my friends, they always do not focus on their role and instead play the hero like a solo. For example, lion is supposed to ward, get the flying courier and normal stuffs like that. You prioritise support over your items because that's your role. But my friend always like to rush blink dagger after boots and bottle, and only wards when I plead him too. I feel like telling him off that he shouldn't rush items because heck, he's not the one dependent on them! He has to make sure the map is warded so the actual carry can farm safely and avoid ganks.
Same thing goes for friend #2. He plays centaur and axe. BLINK IS A PRIORITY. But no, he goes for phase boots, then vanguard, then for the life of me, he goes for perseverance. Time and time again I type in chat, "Hey friend #2, pls get your blink fast, we need you to initiate." He replies with an OK, and STILL goes on to farm his own items before getting blink. By the time he has blink, it's already the 30-40 min mark and we are way past the ganking stage where he can contribute the best.
To aggravate this, I've been on a losing streak, and these 2 friends just tell me, "Chill, it's just a game. Who cares if there's a losing streak?" I am speechless for words. The whole point here is to have fun, and most of that comes from owning and winning. The problem here is, they don't play to their full potential, they refuse to change, and they don't treat this game remotely serious. I am a competitive guy, I love to read up guides, train and play as proper as I can. I love teaming up with competitive teammates as well, but with them, I just can't even tell them off that I want them to play more competitively, because they basically give 0 f**ks.
TL:DR - Friends pulling team down, refuses to learn, not fulfilling roles properly and telling me that it doesn't matter that we lose. The whole point of Dota is lost.
Sorry if I sounded like a scumbag, I still love playing with them. I just wish they would take the effort to improve and change, not just continue playing like this. I hate the feeling of classifying my game as a 'sure lose' when I queue with them.

Im about to uninstall this game Had the best, most amazing start ever. Solo killed 4 heros before 4 minute mark with QoP mid, hit level 7 at liek 3:50. Then they 5 menned up, i tell my team: hey, they are 5 menning and allining, play defensively, stick together.
5 TIMES IN A ROW THEY RUSH INTO THE MEATGRINDER LIKE HEADLESS CHICKENS AND DIE 1 BY1 AND FEED AWAY EVERT FUCKING BIT OF ADVANTAGE I GAINED.
We didnt even have a shred of a chance, we lost miserably every single teamfight. I picked up a few more kills, but it dindt fucking matter 1-11 carry alch 3-8 carry DP 2-9 axe
Also fuck that hero, Dazzle. Allows this bullshit 5 men allin to work even in 5 random pubs
I would upload the replay somewhere, if not for the massive profanities i threw out towards the end

Everytime I play with a jungle furion, it takes me 15 minutes to expect there's actually one in the game.
|
I'm super mega fucking mad
it's one thing to play Dota
it's a whole other thing to play a squishy CM vs a team made to kill you while your teammates are a bunch of retards
I got into a wards war with the enemy venge too so I never got my ghost scepter. Fuck this game. Fuck. ARGHHHHHHH.
|
you probably shouldnt ever re-place a dewarded obs ward unless its for a bait
|
I know. But we had a Nyx and Mirana, they had SF (shadow blade) and Invoker and general wards, the entire map was littered with sentry wards from both of us.

Can't even farm more than 5 creeps a minute -> Win game because hero is very well balanced.
I know that feel bro, played a game as antimage a while ago, had 450+ cs in 42 mins, but team fed the TB so well and didn't have any counters for him. Necro goes for dagon instead of some kind of silence or disable, and just horrible picks all around with no counters to TB.
Here's the game: http://dotabuff.com/matches/714800278

Lycan has "0" damage on tower in a 41 minutes game.
|
Man I love being matched vs. 5-stacks in soloqueue. It's even more fun when my team is 1+1+1+2. How is that even a permitted scenario?
Oh, and of course, these paragons of sportsmanship go zeus+AA+QEvoker+prophet+spectre, farm refreshers before going highground while up 30 kills, and then fountain camp after taking a single T3 tower. What a colossal waste of time.
