Is probably pretty good, i still wanted a g1 @ launch reviews for good performance without getting into the super premium price range - http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gigabyte_geforce_gtx_980_ti_g1_gaming_soc_review,10.html - a lot of them will be about the same, it's good to listen to several different coolers on youtube and check fan speed ranges to find something that you like the sound of
Which airflow focused case(s) would you recommend, with quietness not being a factor? The case size doesn't matter to me, provided I can fit the mobo and everything else in
I picked an air540 for that reason and it's been pretty good, maybe not great design for 2 GPU's though. + Show Spoiler +

Since I destroyed my ankle yesterday(sports are fun and healthy! ) I have now more time to spend with Google and I found some reviews of the OC Gainward 970 with general 970 in the graph as well and found out it is around 6-10 watts more demanding than general 970(in full load). So I will check my space in case and replace the 660 TI with Phantom version. Thanks to all of you!

So, if I build a new computer, what is the easiest way of setting it up so that windows is installed on an SSD ?

picking all this stuff is hard
To be 100% sure everything is on SSD you can just physically unplug or disable the HDD in bios until windows is installed
@ travis your cpu/mobo/RAM is last gen. 6600k/z170/ddr4

is that a problem? won't the new generation of stuff be much more expensive?

Not really since intel doesn't lower previous gen CPU prices, ddr4 prices have dropped a lot in the last ~1.5 years (so 3000c15, 3200c16 is easily available). It would probably be a bit more expensive anyway but offset by increased performance, roughly equivelant to a 5ghz Haswell CPU by 4.5ghz and a bit more consistent + easier overclocking and lower temperatures.
Skylake hasn't finished launching yet so there are only overclocking parts available, if you wanted stock speed and no tweaking then last gen would be cheaper.

hmmm ok ill shop for the current gen stuff thanks

New games (Some not out yet, max setting everything, while streaming
Isn't r9 270x a bit weak for this? Especially at 1080p.

Why would you even compare the 270x with current gen flagships? If he was going to buy a current gen flagship he would obviously not have even considered a 270x. I think it is better to contrast it to something like a 750 ti or 370 which are in the same ballpark in terms of budget. Or suggest balancing his selections to accommodate current mid-range staples like the 970/290/390 etc.
But comparing it to a 980ti makes zero sense to me.

He said "New games (Some not out yet, max setting everything, while streaming"
The 270X is going to fall short of that, considering that the 7970 has a hard time doing that itself.
I wouldn't go for current gen flagships but stuff like R9 390 or GTX 970 should do nicely. You'll need to re-allocate budget for that.

Even those cards are twice as fast

Some stuff runs crazy hot especially when there is not a temp sensor on it. There are some GPU's out there with 100c VRM's at stock simply because they don't have proper heatsink contact like the xfx 290.
m.2 ssd's are rather tiny and pci-e ssd's are bigger but have huge performance and power draw. They get to be like 30 watts and only have a small heatsink on them so they can overheat with high loads - 2200MB/s and 300k read IOPS is huge

Quick question!
I bought, earlier, a box of network cable (70 meters) and have used all the connectors that came with it.
Now, the cable is rated Cat6. I was wondering, if I want to buy more connectors, are there any differences between the crimp connectors (Some crimp connectors are marked as cat5e, cat5, cat 6....)?

was thinking of maybe picking an m.2 ssd if it were "worth it" but the heat is kind of a turn off :p

m.2 is for form factor. Those ssd's still have 100k iops just like a regular 2.5" sata 3.0 ssd - it's the NVME drives that are interesting, they get ~300k IOPS (and usually ~4x faster reads rather than just 2x)

Cryorig just released a pretty cool new cooler (lol) + Show Spoiler + ---
sorry for those build requests that i have not commented on, i'm mostly focusing on myself recently (new hardware) and doing some other stuff + i don't know the right hardware for much stuff non-gaming
on both of those subjects actually, my RAM did not fit under my silver arrow properly. My old ddr3 RAM was samsung green (very small sticks) and i got some of these now:

The cooler itself doesn't block them but i had to lift the first intake fan by a lot (to the point where it's the tallest thing in the case, potentially blocking case side on some smaller cases) in order to fit the RAM under in either of the first 2 slots (at least one of them required for dual channel)
