Sorry, not familiar with wi-fi.

H series boards can't run memory at speeds higher than 1600MHz so I'd get a less expensive 1600MHz kit unless that's the cheapest kit at that retailer.
Not sure about the B500, don't think it's that good?
Crucial MX100 is slightly less expensive and performs about the same as the Samsung 840 EVO so I'd consider that instead.

Are there any PSUs in specific I should look out for? and how is the performance on 2400hz vs 1600hz, if the budget isn't very strict would it be worth it to get another mobo just for the 2400hz ram?

It's better to get a pcie or something external that's no on the mobo. I use a router with dd-wrt as an adapter, but amazon and newegg reviews are solid for finding good cheap adapters.

I don't think it's worth it unless you going to get a K suffix processor too and overclock.
I'd get a XFX 550 for not much more: https://www.komplett.no/xfx-proseries-core-edition-550w-psu/657685

Compatibility Notes In order to fit, the XFX Radeon R9 280 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card may require removing drive bays from the BitFenix Prodigy (Black) Mini ITX Tower Case. The case only supports video cards up to 177mm in length without removing drive bays, while the video card is 294mm long.
From pcpartpicker.com
wtf is this?
|
You need to remove the top drive cage to fit the R9 280, so you would only be able to use the bottom drive cage (enough for SSD and HDD).

I've never understood the purpose behind small cases unless space was at an absolute premium or you require a portable desktop environment and a laptop isn't an option for whatever reason. If you don't need it to be that small, I'd go with a midtower that way your not SOL when adding drives in the future. Then again adopting a NAS server at home is becoming more and more popular for private cloud storage across multiple devices. And then again again (sorry for the double..) if you factor in the size of a NAS server stacked ontop of your mini ITX case you've just increased its size to a midtower anyway thereby defeating the entire purpose behind buying something to be small in the first place.
Looking at general case size classifications: a Mini tower or mini ITX: 14-16inches (35-40cm) tall compared with a midtower 17-21 inches ( 43-53cm) tall. And a 4 harddrive NAS server is about 8-9 inches ( 20-21cm) tall.
Now I know what your going to say, "I don't think I'd need more storage then a SSD and a 4TB harddrive so I wont be bothered with having to get a NAS server or need a bigger case." Okay that's a fair statement today, tomorrow and a year or two from now. but hear me out on this, I didn't think I would fill up 2X 1TB harddrives, and have a 2tb drive half filled. But I did alot faster then I thought, because of High Definition movies and TV shows. 1080P eats up harddrive space at 1gb per tv show. Now 1440P and 4k are on the horizon; 1440p will likely be the standard 2 years from now. I shudder to think at my storage requirements going forward or anyone else s for that matter. Lucky for me I went fulltower so adding another harddrive is a minor inconvenience rather then an oh-**** situation. If your in a small case and are not actively carrying it with you to LAN's or tournaments this can come back to bite you. Hell even if your going to LAN's and or Tournaments a midtower is not that much bigger or bulkier.
In another off tangent, my new computer boasts 8TB of space and I am actually looking at a NAS server for everyone elses on my home networks storage.

I have a GT630 in my PC right now, and from what I understand SLI can use multiple GPUs together, would it be worth it to do that?
|
No. SLI has to be identical GPUs, and two 630s would not be very good.

1440p will never be standard because it is not a broadcast standard. It will be decades before 4k becomes standard since networks don't even broadcast 1080p yet.
Not sure what you download but the usual 1080p rips are closer to 4GB per 41 minute episode and 720p is just a bit above 1GB. A lot more people download SD and 720p than 1080p, we're talking about like a 20:1 ratio. But i think the masses stream anyways.

Does anyone know of a keyboard that has keys that are backlit instead of having the key's value printed onto the keyboard so it makes having different language keyboards easier to use by displaying what the keys are?

Optimus Maximus.. costs like $2000.
|
I think you basically need e.g. LED screens for every key to accomplish that, so I doubt there's a non-expensive way to achieve it.
|
If you're not using the same keyboard to constantly switch languages, you ought to just be able to get custom keycaps?
|
Any other option that is more appealing than putting those stickers on my keys to show what the key stands for in the other language? And yes, I do switch back and forth on the same keyboard
|
Switch between keyboards then? Or go for a keyboard (or keycaps) with all the info you need?
|
If you only use two languages, they do make keycaps that have each language's character(s) on the relevant keys.

Hi all, I've never built a PC before but am looking to build a new one.
What is your budget? Ideally around $800-900, I would not like to go over $1000, but if I have to I will. ( Do I need an SSD? If all it does is improve load times I can wait for those )
What is your monitor's native resolution? I have/will get a 1920x1080 monitor ( I have one, but will buy a new one in the future )
What games do you intend to play on this computer? What settings? SC2 - highest possible LoL - highest possible These are the 2 games I mainly play but I might get watch dogs ( well it actually comes with the 760 ), but I heard that WD is poorly optimized for PC so I won't have the highest expectation for that. I do play BF3 every now and then and would like for it to run ultra smoothly.
What do you intend to use the computer for besides gaming? Will be mainly used for gaming, streaming, and schoolwork too.
Do you intend to overclock? Don't know much about this. CPU- not really GPU-maybe
Do you intend to do SLI / Crossfire? 2 way SLI in the future just one video card for now
Do you need an operating system? Yes
Do you need a monitor or any other peripherals and is this part of your budget? Yes, keyboard, mouse, and monitor but I am getting these in the future.
If you have any requirements or brand preferences, please specify. Nothing really, as long as their reliable, have good reviews, and good customer support.
What country will you be buying your parts in? United States
If you have any retailer preferences, please specify. Nothing really, as long as their reliable, have good reviews, and good customer support. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Before writing this post I tried to experiment with 2 builds, using the sample builds as a starting point. 1) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RDvbCJ 2) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vqfhmG However, the motherboard on this list does not support SLI and since I'm new on this subject I was wondering what motherboard I should get. Also, build 1 strays farther from the build than build 2, for example I opt in for the NZXT, which I like the look of more so I'd like to know if its ok to switch to the NZXT or stick with the Corsair.Feel free to change anything on this list and reply. The cheaper and more cost-efficient the better (Really if some of the things on the lists are overkill switch it because the less I spend the happier my pocket I'll be).
EDIT: BTW I don't know much about cases but I like having a side panel window and such, so far I like the NZXT Phant, but if you have other recommendations feel free to tell me ( just change the list and link it ), I just ask that it'll fit my stuff and future upgrades ( I plan to buy another GPU for SLI in the future )
EDIT: Also I plan to get windows 8.1 but I've heard there's problems with SLI on that? Should I stick with 7?
