Go for a desktop instead. both my "gaming" laptops crapped out after 2 years even with cooling units that I bought for it. also bye bye to about $860 bucks. at least my build is finished now lol

I think the 770 is way out of range for me unless it drops over 100$ on sale, so something else very good? I do like to play BF4 and would love to play it on a prettier setting at some point.

I dont mind spending up to about 250 and can wait for something to go on sale. I am just curious what cards I should be watching for price drops. No for the nvidia side you can get a gtx 760 and that card is 200-250$. It runs battlefield 4 on high with 60-80 fps no problem, on ultra it averages 40-50.

Well my 650ti plays it on medium ish was looking to get high I dont need to go ultra. Not necessarily sales but something I can keep an eye on for price drops even. Like, if its worth waiting for a 770 over a 760 for example, i will wait out the 770 price drop one day as opposed to getting a 760 on sale. For example.

Or pull trigger on a 760 if it goes on sale before the new year?

And I doubt the 770 will drop in price. It just droped and when the GTX 8xx series comes out the 770 will just not be sold anymore.

I have a 650ti I am not rich Not much you can do in terms of performance. It's senseless to step up a single tier (to a 760 which is 660ti equivelant) and the next step up (770/280x) will cost significant money, but not be miles ahead.

770 AMP! has a reasonable (not great, not bad) cooler: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/graphics/display/palit-geforce-gtx-770-jetstream-zotac-gtx-770-amp-edition.html Is that even a decent deal? Need some Nvidia-specific features?
