I want to stream in the highest quality possible. If anyone needs any more info, just ask. I'm pretty new to the whole streaming thing. If it matters, I'll be streaming Dota 2 on 1280x720 resolution. your cpu is way too slow. even with it being a i7 quad core, its clock speed is just too low for 720p. It may be too slow for streaming in general. I've streamed HD on Xsplit before and it was decently smooth. What would my settings be if I wanted to stream 612p or 480p? Enable Turbo Boost in bios and use all 8 threads while streaming and u'll be fine...

Would you mind telling me how to do that? And should it be enabled ONLY when I'm streaming, or is it okay to have it enabled all the time?

In your bios (while computer booting you generally press "del" to open that blue settings screen) there should be an option to turn CPU turbo boost "on". It will boost your CPU to 2.8 ghz max. Which is way too much improvoment from 1.6ghz. Now you have i7 which means you have 4 cores and 8 threads. If you stream with Dxtory there is an option to choose how many threads Dxtory work with you are just gonna max it. If you don't and you just stream with FFsplit or Xsplit region then it will work with all threads anyway. But i strongly suggest you to use Dxtory while streaming, it improves your in-game fps and fixes stuttering caused by Normal streaming most of the time.
At the end you'll be able to stream well with an i7.

After using Xsplit FMLE DXstory and now FFSplit.
FFSplit gets the single CPU streaming two thumbs up award from me. Seriously, use this one folks.

45 FPS stream Diablo 3.
CPU is an i5-2500k @ 4.0 ghz. 20 down/ 10 up connection.

Hey guys. I recently downloaded FFSplit and am looking for some recommended settings because my ping jumps with the settings that I currently tried.

Hi,
At work now so can't upload my speedtest.net result, but.. out of my head I got 1,34 mb/s upload.
Whenever I tried to stream (with xsplit;p) I just lagged alot, my pc is quite a beast so I don't think it has to do with that. With lagg I mean ms delay, 1/2 second delay on actions I did ingame. fps lagg was not noticable.
Pc specs: Intel i7 2600k Kingston 8GB Gainward GeForce GTX 570 1280MB SSD Crucial m4 128GB
Is it possible to stream (with ff split) and be able to run without lagging hardcore? Any tips would be amazing!
Thanks in advance, Kiwi

Well there is a lot of things you can do, one of them is telling us your bitrate. Second is trying a different streaming server depending on your location. 3rd is telling your stream settings.
Your PC can handle a 1080p stream easy, just depends on your settings.
If you are using 100% of your upload speed you will most likely get clicking delay, when streaming you need to use 60-75% your your upload if you want to utilize the stream, so in your case using 700-900kbps would be good.

Hej back home,
After reading alot here and abit on forums, I think my stream is running amazing now, no ingame lagg anymore! ^^ Thanks alot for this amazing thread. helped me a bunch!

i dunno how to stream on ffsplit
|
Ok, I have a problem here that I wasn't able to solve on my own for now.
I have a working stream at 90+- FPS for SC2 using my rig (120+FPS without stream). I have changed my graphic card (GT230) for a Sapphire ATI HD7750.
Ingame prior to stream I can get up to 200 FPS. Now I am getting 30-40 FPS. My processor and other hardware has not been changed. Drivers are updated to the latest as of yet.FFSplit is also the same version. Can anyone provide some assistance?
Meanwhile, will continue finding and testing for answers. Thanks.

1) No. I'm using FFSplit Overlay 2.05b5
2) Catalyst is already installed.
3) All anti-aliasing settings in control panel are already off.
