I want to run three monitors put my card only has 2 dvi ports, I'm having trouble finding a name for the device. Edit: lol nvm i found it, it's called a DVI splitter surprisingly. That won't do what you (probably) want. It can only show the same output on two monitors, not run three monitors showing three different things.

I've gotten lucky with wireshark logs before, but that's it ... not that I really "know" the significance of half of it. I'm looking for something short of signing up for a class at local community college.

If you want to run three monitors but do not have IGP capabilities then you would need to buy a second video card (if you have an PCI-E x16 slot free). If you do not have a free PCI-E x16 slot then you will need an external adapter.

Yet, I'm plagued with requests to come over and fix their internet ... and hardly know anything past first base for investigating router problems, adapter problems, software interaction (including malware), or how to differentiate beyond basic swap-and-check/drivers/restarts. Thanks! On December 27 2013 11:50 Craton wrote: Understanding routing and internet architecture and fixing computer problems are pretty widely separated. I'm very well versed in networking at an architectural and design level (i.e. I could reasonably well design and implement a commercial network), but when it comes to fixing grandma's toolbar infested machine, it's a whole other beast. You're really looking into the wrong area with that if your goal is PC repair. Just trying to fill in the gaps, not call myself an expert on how the internet works. I've been guilty of fiddling with routers when its a bad network card. Even clueless on high signal strength, low speed issues as well as frequent disconnect issues. So it's half usefulness, and half I just want to know more than I do now. RL Engineer problems.

Are they the same resolution? If not, then you can try matching the resolution. When you say you can't adjust the mouse to your preferred sensitivity, do you mean in the control panel or in-game?

Which mouse are you using? Maybe there is a program for it that you can use to adjust the DPI.

Someone can maybe suggest settings based on calculations using that. Also, describe exactly what the mouse can do for DPI. It can do 600, 1200, 1800 DPI? I'm back at home, which means I have to try and fix all the tech problems my Dad has built up over the last 6 months. If you mean you have some random Windows 7 installation disc and have the key that originally came with that laptop, that works exactly like you think it should. The specific disc does not know anything about which key it belongs to, they are all the same copy.
