Ambient is ~22c maybe a bit higher, dafuq is happening to my system? I was literally staring at desktop and fans ramped up (gpu to 100%) and im not sure what to do now. My CPU should be like 15c lower at worst, GPU is holding 75c it i max its fan (I dont get that in many games.. with the GPU at full load)
GPU is at 84c now with fan set manual 43% - again no load on it.
I took the case side off (slight drop to 81c), maxed the fan (drop to 73c) and then applied load, it went to 100c in 10 seconds.
Im pretty sure i had like, 30c better temps with the fan at 100% before, surely my ambients did not change that much? My 120/140mm front intake, 120/140mm back exhaust and 200mm top exhaust are all functioning properly, fans that came with the case but they seem to work ok if in-case temps are pretty much the same as side-off
Edit: Two restarts and it's back to normal. 55c at 40% fan with no load
It was weird as hell going to 100c with all fans maxed, with side of the case off, with sub-15c ambients 5 inches from an open window (0-5c), there's just no way i could get anywhere close to that with any stress test, anyone have any idea what was happening?
I didn't see any malicious processes

I'm in the process of RMAing an Acer monitor. A few days ago I registered the RMA request and it's approved. I thought they'd sent me an email with relevant info/instructions, but evidently they never did (I probably got it confused with the three Asus sent for a separate RMA).
I can't re-book the monitor and when I look up the status this is what I get (redacted):

Does anyone know what information I need to put on the box / inside the box when I ship it? Acer's site sucks for finding this kind of thing.

I have an issue during sc2 (usually played in low, everything low just for personal preferences) , that when getting 200+ fps in the beginning, and about 130 during the later stages of the game. Every few seconds the frames drop considerably just for a split of second. Which makes the game lag only for (idk maybe 0.3 seconds) . It is enough though to be noticeable and since it happens very frequently I wonder what it could be.
I didnt notice this until i saw some very smooth streams. Here are my specs.
Intel i5 2550k (oc'd at 4.2 ghz with hyperplus 212 fan) asrock p67 pro3 motherboard nvidia gtx550 ti. 1gb. (core clock at 1024, memory clock at 2176mhz.) Normal 500gb 7200 rpm hd. 4gb ram ddr3 (~1330 mhz) --> in cpu-z i have 665.3 mhz which should be doubled(??i think?). And It says channels #: single. I am just thinking that the ram could be it perhaps, but i don't know really how important it is for this matter.
windows 7 . 1080 display, 22 inch. (idk the refresh rate, but it was a cheap aoc. so probably 60hz perhaps.) - Very good/normal interenet speeds, playing in northamerican server so no lag should occur since i live in the US.
Thanks!

I'm trying to set up a cheap internet connection consisting of a modem and a wifi router and I'm having some issues. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it. The modem is a thomson THG540 and the router is a TP-Link WR-740N.
What I've done and tried so far: - The modem is connected with a standard UTP cable to the router's wan port, connected power etc. WiFi works, the modem has internet connection but the router does not. I've entered the external IP as the routers WAN IP, and entered the default subnet mask and tried several other settings. The router and the modem are using different IP adresses, I've checked that also.
Is there any obvious thing I'm doing wrong?

Would it be okay to have 2 monitors off of a Titan and add a second shitty gpu to run a third monitor off of? (also nvidia)
Is it possible to do this? and if so are there any reasons to avoid it?
|
Well, you could, but the Titan has 4 monitor ports already. You can get DVI to DisplayPort adapters if that's your problem.

The other player lagging or texture streaming is what causes stutters. You can try running preloader, but it's still stuttery since 1.5 for me.

That doesn't look the best. 710M is barely any better than HD 4000 in the i5. It's better to have a separate GPU so that the CPU doesn't heat up as much and has a better chance of staying turbo'd, but if you want to run the game with medium shaders you'll probably want a slightly stronger GPU like a 730M (or for 600 series, 635M or higher; sorry for Nvidia's confusing naming scheme). Or for AMD, I believe you're looking at roughly 6600 series or higher, or HD 7500/8500 or higher. See notebookcheck for some benchmarks.

I think one of my RAM stopped working in my notebook. When I go over some point I experience crashes sometimes. Is there a way to test it or tell my PC not to use it?

About what settings should I be able to play and stream with this computer? Thanks ^.^

Edit: This is strange because my 2500K used to do this but it went back to normal the next day

I'm watching Youtube right now and it's working fine What version FF and ABP are you running? (I'm running 2.2.3 ABP and Aurora 22.0a2)
|
2.2.3 and FF version 20.0.1 IDK what Aurora means.
|
Hmm I don't think YT is slipping anything through javascript and you got the same version of ABP as I do. I'm a bit curious if you touched any of the settings (or white-listed YT maybe).
|
Hmm. I deleted all my exceptions and it works now thanks.
Now I guess I just have to redo them for twitch :-/
