Volvox United States27 Posts April 19 2011 15:23 GMT #61 Maybe this will help. Had the same problem with my specs: + Show Spoiler + I was having the same issue. A week or so after continuously having the problem, I noticed a graphics patch in Windows Update. However, I do keep my drivers up to date from Geforce.com but this patch I guess brought it up to speed even more? I used to be at a January 2011 update and it took me to February. Keeping in mind that the latest patch I had installed was from March 2011 from Geforce. After that, so far, no more ACCESS_VIOLATIONs. Also, new patch came out this week from geforce for Nvidia Updates, which may help as well! I didn't bother checking to see if RAM was in issue but if I come across the error again, I'll look into it!

Syros Belarus2 Posts January 09 2013 18:35 GMT #62 I had this problem with my first install of SC2. The game would just crash every time just before the 3D cut-scene. None of the advice I found online solved the issue. After a lot of trial and error, one thing finally worked for me. I simply used the NVidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings to customize "starcraft ii.exe" to minimum (safest) settings. The game launched the mission successfully! Then I ramped up the settings for "starcraft ii.exe" in the Nvidia Control Panel back to my custom values (pretty much maxed out) and the game continued working without a hitch! Hope this helps someone.
