Does no one here use the Razer Orochi? I think this is a pretty godlike mouse for those with smaller hands and/or portability needs. With wired and wireless options, in addition to the small size it's a really useful mouse.

I bought this mouse today (Cyborg Rat 7) - I love it.

I've used these 4 mice over the past 10 years - Razer Krait (RTS edition), Razer DeathAdder (used this for about 5-6 years), Microsoft Intelli mouse, now the Cyborg Rat.

I spent like 100$ on it but it was well worth it, my left click on my DeathAdder was being stiff and not responding half the time so I went to research the best mouse I could possibly find. I'm pretty sure I've tried out every mouse from the Steelseries Kai to the Razer Abyssus / Razer Orochi, etc.. Haven't found anything as adjustable and responsive.

I got myself the Roccat Kova a few days ago and i'm absolutely happy with it, its not so heavy, feels good in your hand and feels way more accurate than my old mx518.
the best 30€ i ever invested for gaming

Hi TL - can someone please help me decide between the Razer Orochi or Imperator; does the extra 800 dpi make a huge difference? Does it come down to the wired/wireless option?

Any other advise would be appreciated

I dont like the imperator. the clicking feels very weird, like you have to put in an extra amount of force. and also it has a lifting up issue. your cursor will spasm around when you lift the mouse off the surface.

I got the G700 for $70 on sale at best buy, I couldn't be happier with it, also it was listed as 'Wireless' while it can be wireless, I think it's more convertible than anything, being that the charging cable also transmits data when plugged in.

I wasn't sure whether to make a new thread, but I decided that since there are no official news, I'll just bump this one instead.

Basically, the kinzu shape is loved a huge number of people, but almost all of those people are put off by the terrible sensor in that mouse (acceleration, prediction etc.). So people have been crying out for something similar with a good optical sensor.

With the release of the sensei, Kim Rom, a Steelseries employee posted in the Overclock.net thread explaining their reasoning behind it. In the same post he also hinted about the new Kana.

I replied by saying that if it is a small, ambidextrous mouse with the pixart sensor (the one used in the new Steelseries Legendary and the Zowie Mico, a near perfect sensor), I would buy it. His reply was that I should start saving up money.

To me, that is pretty much as close to confirmed as you can get without being official. I can say that I'm excited.

I got my CM Storm Spawn this week (Switching from Logitech G500) and I couldn't be happier. I have smallish hands, so the small mouse is a perfect match, it's light and precise. I highly recommend it if you use the fingertip/claw grup when gaming. =) My accuracy in SC2 and FPS games actually improved.

I've been using the Roccat Kone+ for the past week or so, and have to say its the best mouse i've ever used, i've used the Steelseries Xai, the Razer Naga and Deathadder. So far Kone+ has been far and away my favorite mouse.

Regarding the 800 dpi increase, it's good if you use a high resolution on your monitor so you can rely on the mouse's sensor, not adjusting up ingame sensitivity.

I got a question:
Sometimes when I want to box things in sc2 (draw rectangles with the mouse) it just doesn't work properly. Although I keep the button pressed the box will disappear as though I stopped pressing it and another box will be created as though I pressed it again, although I do not move my index finger a tiny bit.
Now I cannot box anything anymore in sc2, because every box gets misplaced and this is really annoying. This also happens when sc2 is not loaded up and I try on desktop. Not sure why I get this all of a sudden but this issue popped up like 3 days ago :/

Anyone knows what to do?

edit: I use the razer krait

It sounds like the mouse is dying, or at least, when you press down the mouse doesn't get a continuous pressed down signal.

Try on another computer and if that doesn't solve it, you probably should replace your mouse with any new one since the warranties problem run out. Old mice get this problem a lot from simple wear, so it's nothing to fret about.

Wow, thanks for the insanely quick answer =)
I tried it on another computer and it had the same issue. This is really disappointing considering I bought this mouse like 10 months ago..

I find Razers stuff to be so bloody expensive , you can get used to any mouse( or keyboard for that matter ) it just takes time!

Also never buy a wireless mouse as they are the most temper mental P.O.S ever.

Is the razer abyssus a viable choice for gaming? I've never been a fan of optical mice, so I'm still a bit on the fence, but I do like the design, and think it would suit my hand placement. Can anyone speak on the abyssus a bit?

EDIT: Basically, it's about time for me to get a new mouse. The two I'm looking at at the moment are the logitech G500, and the razer abyssus.
