Hello, I am looking for advice on getting a new mouse since my abyssus has gotten very worn out after about a year of use. (the clicks on it literally feel like pressing my finger into a firm pillow)
1. What's your grip style? Fingertip
2. What's your sensitivity? Low-med (I use 1800dpi at 25% sensitivity on my abyssus)
3. What's your maximum budget? $60-$70, may be able to go higher, but I don't know much benefit that would give
4. Do you want additional buttons? Not necessary, would help though
5. What games do you play? CS:GO, TF2, LoL, and occasionally SC2
6. Do you mind angle snapping? Yes
7. Other relevant information: I prefer light mice and things that won't break after extended use My mousepad is a Razer Goliathus

The G400 and the G5 without weight are quite light, if you're looking for a light big mouse.

My razer naga just broke, im looking for a new mouse. Can you help me ?
1. What's your grip style? fingertip or some fingertip/claw hybrid
2. What's your sensitivity? med/high
3. What's your maximum budget? 80/90$
4. Do you want additional buttons? 2 on the side would be fine
5. What games do you play? SC2
6. Do you mind angle snapping? I think i do
7. Other relevant information: I was thinking about Ikari or Xai.
Thanks for the help !!
Isnt the Ikari the ultimate palm mouse? If you are looking at the Xai, you could look at the new sensei raw, it cheaper than the old sensei but preformance wise its still the same. Since your already looking at relatively large mice for fingertip grip, you can also look at the Razer Taipan. Newest mouse and right in your budget. Well, razer naga should be palm too i guess but i was still using it for a year (maybe its not palm, i cant really distinquish grips).. Anyway, i said NO to expensive stuff, everything breaks for me, razer fucked me up, HP fucked me up...so i just went and bough a Kinzu v2 Pro. Its rly nice!, it fits, i was happy with my new mouse and had money left to take my gf see Prometheus. Thx for the help anyway I dont see you saying no expensive stuff oO :p But am very happy that you found a mouse. Can you maybe do a little test for me? With my personal v2 pro, the mouse click registers late. When I want to box units fast, it starts a box a centimeter later than when I use other mice. If you have the time, can you maybe see if your v2 pro has the same problem? Sorry for the late response, totaly forgot...yes i had a feeling it was somewhat late when boxing rly fast, but its rly hard to test and see for sure. But as I said, I do have a feeling its happening. But anyways i didnt notice any miss-micro or miss-boxing ingame so far, so i guess i just got used to that slight delay and its not making a problem. It sounds like this is what both of you are talking about: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=322504#7
Thank you! I will definatly check it out.

Is there any bigger mouse than G400? I use palm grip and I have huge hands

I'm not looking for a mouse now, but I may in the future and I'd like to be able to go back to this for some insight.
I don't want a mouse too tiny or too big/wide.
The last two mice I've used is Nyko air flo, which took awhile to get use to, and Dell/HP (like the kind that comes with your computer) mouse. If I can, I'd like to just get another one of those.
1. What's your grip style?
Palm for the most part with a little claw mixed in.
2. What's your sensitivity?
I have absolutely 0 idea.
3. What's your maximum budget?
Don't hold back ^^. Lets say 100 dollars.
4. Do you want additional buttons?
NO! No buttons at all... hate that stuff on the side. Just normal 2 button + scroll in mid is fine.
5. What games do you play?
Starcraft II
6. Do you mind angle snapping?
Yes I do mind. I don't want it.
7. Other relevant information:
Just normal USB, wire mouse would be nice. Lemme know if you want any more information.

Didn't someone already answer your question in previous posts?

Does anyone know where I can buy the Sensei [Raw] rubber version in the US? If so can i have a link or so? I've wanted to get this mouse for a while and Steelseries said it would be available for purchase in June.

I currently have a Ttesports theron, but i think i could get something better, any recommendations?
1. What's your grip style? Claw 2. What's your sensitivity? 1600 dpi, no acceleration, and 51% in starcraft 3. What's your maximum budget? Doesn't matter, i just want something i can stick with, no matter the price 4. Do you want additional buttons? It would be nice for other games, but it honestly does not matter 5. What games do you play? Starcraft 2 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Not sure if I've experienced it, but if it is bad for starcraft i don't want it 7. Other relevant information: I've already tried the g9x and don't like it.

'lo chaps - I was wondering if I might pester you for some of your collective wisdom?
I'm current using a MS Sidewinder X3 and, quite frankly, it's dead. I don't want to buy another because their build quality's tripe. I've tried countless other mice but none fit my odd, small hands better than the X3 - so I was hoping someone might be able to suggest an alternative?
The dimensions of the X3 are:
120.4mm (L) x 70.2mm (W) x 40.8mm (D)
I've tried and ruled out:
SteelSeries Kana Razer Abyssus Logitech MX518 Sharkoon Fireglider
Here's my questionnaire thingamabob:
What's your grip style? 99% Palm, with a slightly looser grip What's your sensitivity? 1000DPI What's your maximum budget? That's unimportant Do you want additional buttons? I don't use them currently, but one or two might be nice What games do you play? Mainly FPS, some RTS Do you mind angle snapping? Yes, I want absolute control Other relevant information: Build quality matters to me, and a decent mouse wheel would be good too
If anyone has any input I would be hugely grateful!

so, the Driver for the Razer Abyssus confuses me. In the driver there is a "Sensitivity bar" on a scale of 1-10, automatically set to 10 (i think). Does this mean that 10 is = 1800 dpi (because on the back of the mouse it is set to 1800 dpi), and any less would be decreasing it? I don't understand what exactly this function does, but it's bugging me because I want to make sure I'm actually playing on 1800 dpi..

honestly i wouldn't use drivers with the abyssus...back when I used to have one I just plugged it in and used it without any software and it worked fine.
also this way you can just use the hardware switching to change DPI settings so you can be sure of what your sensitivity is set at.

If you are a claw-grip style person, I highly recommend the CM Storm Spawn. It is ergonomically designed for claw-grippers, so yeah, really good mouse for claw-grippers.
|
Ettick: Check out the CM Storm Spawn, Zowie Mico (clicks are much tougher than the Abyssus), Logitech g9x.
Ero-Sennin: Sounds like the G400 and the Sensei / Xai would be good fits (I love the 4G Imperator too but most people apparently don't)
KAB00000000M: Zowie Mico or Logitech g9x
kpierre150: have you tried the Razer Abyssus?
Pigmeat: I think you need a Deathadder
Just my 2c.

Thanks, Demicore. Appreciate the advice, mate.
