I use a claw-ish grip on my g303, with the thumb resting near the middle of the mouse, atthe beginning of the front/grippy part. However I have small hands, so I guess your grip should be different!

They're both logitech. Logi is known (at least recently) for good, low latency mouse buttons

i'l see when mine gets here (probably 2017 at this rate )

The thing that could shock you about the mouse is that you can't really use the mouse with your fingers stretched out straight. The way its sides are, the finger that grips the mouse on the right side has to curve to the inside. If that finger is your pinky, the mouse might feel normal enough, but if it's your ring finger, it has to curve down with finger tip pointing down towards the mouse-pad.

It seems to me, there's basically just one way to grip the G302/303, while on other small mice I could usually grip those in multiple different ways. That should be where all the bitching about the shape comes from.

Their small shell should have been g103 IMO

but then where do they put the fancy RGB LED's?

The mouse actually works out better like this for me. I have some RSI issue in the hand/arm, and it acts up when using the G100 shape even though G100 seems like a comfortable shape.

I'll see, 402 shape with this type of grip gives me RSI issues too when playing for a long time, i have a semi-permanent pain when moving my right wrist in certain ways now that's worse on some nights after a lot of play. My posture is fine, ordered g303 6 days ago and i'l just cancel order and buy from logi if it's not dispatched very soon. I've waited far too long.

Still got xornet, maybe worth playing with for a few days

RSI issue?

I have a "Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)" problem from a time when Quake felt as important as food for me. It seems to be chronic and won't ever fully go away any more. I think it was avoidable, was my own fault with shitty posture.

+ Show Spoiler [me feeling sad for myself] +
There's something going on with the nerves for me. When the RSI starts to act up, it first begins by feeling numbness in the fingers I'm using the most. Like, if a game requires clicking the right mouse button a lot, the finger doing that will start feeling numb. Or if a game requires repositioning the mouse a lot and I'm lifting the mouse a lot, then the numbness starts in the finger that grips the right side of the mouse.

If I ignore that, the numbness radiates into the forearm and actual pain starts. That pain can then be in the whole hand and all fingers can start to feel numb or cause pain.

When I ignored things even more, I once had the issue radiate into the shoulder and neck. That was scary.

If I work out a little and do some stretching for the back, the neck, arm and the hand, things can be fine and without pain and numbness indefinitely despite a lot of gaming, unless I do something like using a mouse I know I shouldn't use. If I'm not careful, the issue is back instantly, from just one single gaming session.

If someone reads this... all of this was avoidable, so this is intended as a warning.

Mine is not so bad and no numbness thankfully but i get pain in that one wrist (that i shouldn't have) when stretching it in certain ways, being worse if i stressed the hand/wrist previously

for example, if i tilt my right wrist inwards towards my body and bend the hand down, i get minor pain. If i bend it up, it's like a pretty bad ache. That can be almost unnoticable, or actually quite bad if i stressed it inappropriately for a period of time with a bad mouse/grip like just playing an MMO for aaaaages or going too hard on osu even for 30 minutes~

The other hand doing the same thing gets no pain, only minor discomfort if i stretch it hard. I didn't have any pain there before using awkward fingertip grip with g402 and may have triggered it originally with bad tablet pen grip and squeezing it (yay osu) so i bought another mouse (g303) and switched back to xornet meanwhile. It's much more comfortable for my grip and i can rest my hand on it and move it an inch without feeling stress in this one part of my hand

Hey guys, ive been browsing the internet for 2 days now, trying to find "gaming" wireless mouse.

I just cannot find anything that i like, the new logitech 602 seems nice but is way too big for me.
I love Zowie mice's and in particular Mico. This is what im looking for Zowie Mico like but wireless because i want to use it with my laptop for light gaming (HotS, SC2, mainly).
I dont really care if the price is 30 or 300 or what brand it is, all i want is small simple wireless mouse if its possible to be used with my laptop BT instead of the dongle that is great thing.
Anyone can help with my choice?

Small wireless isn't much of a thing because batteries are quite big, but more importantly they have a very high density compared to the rest of mouse materials. On a big, heavy mouse then an AA battery might only be 20% more weight, but on a lighter one it could be as much as +50% - but the distribution of the weight changes how the mouse feels and moves. They also have to physically fit both the battery and the sensor stuff in there - keeping both of them pretty much exactly on center, because a sensor that's off to the side or a weird center of mass would be bad.

I'd advise to skip the wireless part if at all possible for gaming (wireless is useful for a media PC across the living room etc)

There might be wireless mice that use less battery weight than 1x AA battery - i'm not entirely up to date on them, to be honest.

I have the razer blade 17inch and i put my mouse pad on the top of laptop, the right side over the switchblade. This way i can game with the laptop on my lap or bed, also on a very small table, you dont need space and hard surface for your mousepad/mouse. Thats why i need the wireless mouse. My wired Zowie/Logitech 502 are uncomfortable to use, since the camble sticking out of the mouse is problem, i dont really have any idea how to deal with the cable in that situation thats why im looking for wireless mouse, otherwise i would never even think about it. I love my zowie mico and the logitech g502 is superb as well.
If you have any tips how to deal with the cable i would be happy to do that instead of looking for new mouse.

Thanks for responding and taking your time to help me out.

Google Image Search finds a picture with G502 and G602 next to each other, and they seem to be kind of comparable in size. Maybe take another look at the G602? You might have been misled into thinking it is larger than it really is after you've seen pictures of its thousand buttons or whatever it has.

I only mention the G602 because that was the only wireless gaming mouse I've seen people seriously recommend. I would never try to use it myself.

The 602 has a good sensor and firmware in it and the battery lasts okay for a "gaming" wireless mouse, as long as you keep the mouse near the receiver connection issues aren't a problem. But yeah weight and size you don't get much of a choice when it comes to gaming wifi mice.

I've been using a Zowie EC-2A for the past couple days. Very sexy. Excellent for playing CSGO in palm grip but as soon as I try to fingertip and use it for web browsing/Starcraft 2 I get very upset. Its simply too tall on the left side. More than likely going to take it back, I'd rather not have to switch mice just for a single game.

Back on the hunt to find something to replace my G9x. Corsair m45 and the CM Storm Spawn just can't keep up with G9x/G303 tracking.
I'm looking at the Zowie FK2 and the Logitech G100s next. Really hoping the G100s has a similar feel to my old logitech that looks like this.
Final Mouse looks very intriguing due to its stubbyness but its not on sale at the moment.

My quest to find a lightweight mouse I can fingertip/claw+palm hybrid comfortably and throw around continues!

Edit: I think I've established what bugs me the most. Its the length of the mouse. Taking FK series away as an option simply because its also too long which really hurts the ability to vertically finger tip control it. The G9x, CM Storm Spawn, and even Corsair M45 length don't get in the way of sliding the mouse up and down. If anyone knows of a short but comfy mouse for larger hands like the corsair m45 or storm spawn with a good sensor I'd be super grateful. Jumping at the G100s soon as I can.

I'm also pondering if I can improve ergonomics by adding some grip to that area of the mouse. Let me know if you find something.

Ah, my hands REALLY want to grab the left sharp edge with my thumb so I can fingertip the hell out of it and get maximum vertical movement.

I layered some Sure Step Non-Skid Pads that you normally put in shoes. Helped, but overall didn't fix the awkwardness of the mouse for me.

Right now the very pretty rainbow lighting mouse is in the hands of my girlfriend. It fits her small hands quite comfortably. Oh my god but am I jealous, everything but the shape being slightly too cruel is a perfect mouse for me.

1. What's your grip style?
Claw

2. What's your sensitivity?
medium (800 dpi)

3. What's your maximum budget?
not a concern

4. Do you want additional buttons?
I don't mind as long as they don't get in the way.

5. What games do you play?
Primarily Dota 2, some SC2 and MMOS, also Hearthstone but that's hardly relevant :D.

I've been using a Logitech G1 (maybe 6 years) for ages and it's starting to fall apart and I am looking for a new mouse. I am a relatively high level player, I played high level masters in sc2 a year after release on eu, i am pretty trash at dota 2 though, you might consider me a competitive amateur in general. I am looking for a light medium sized mouse like the g1. I don't really mind having a couple of extra buttons but they must not get in the way and be optional. I am considering the Logitech g402 and Zowie Mico. Are there any other models u can recommend that I look at and which one should I pick?

1. What's your grip style?
light palm for CSGO. claw/palm hybrid for general use.

2. What's your sensitivity?
My friends all think it's high. Currently using a Razer Diamondback 3G (no proprietary software, so whatever it defaults to from there) with Windows at 5/11.

3. What's your maximum budget?
$100

4. Do you want additional buttons?
Two left-side and two right-side buttons would be great.

5. What games do you play?
CSGO main (rinput 1). Sometimes League and Dota. Dark Souls, FF, and random shit on Steam.

6. Do you mind angle snapping?
Don't know what that is, but it sounds bad.

7. Other relevant information:
Ambidextrous and on the heavier side. Tried a Sensei once and it was way too light.
I'm planning to buy a mouse in an hour after my various Google Fu, and so far the Zowie FK sounds like the best for me... and I'm hoping I can try one at Micro Center.

Don't see much about ROCCAT on here, but I'm reccommend looking at the ROCCAT KONE Pure Optical. Light, smallish -> medium sized, optical sensor, two left side buttons that aren't in the way at all and I use it with a claw grip with smallish hands at 800 DPI very comfortably.

the 402 is actually medium sized at best. Its moderately high weight (~100g) with a thick cable and quite draggy feet.

I'd rate it very highly for palm grip and/or FPS play - but trying to use it like a lighter mouse for desktop and other game genre's didn't work out at all for me. End result = awkwardness and some RSI from refusing to change my grip to palm-style due to the weight and lack of control from fingertips.

You should consider the g100s and g302/g303 for smaller mice.

I have a xornet and can control it extremely well by playing at ~500-750dpi on 1920x1080 and balancing the center of mass between fingers 1+4+5 (thumb, finger next to pinky, pinky) while having the left and right mouse button fingers for stabilization - and no contact other than fingertips. It's light enough to do that and gives the proper leverage for it.
