I love the m1/m2 buttons on the Spawn but it has been dying for quite a while and it (the thumb buttons and the scroll) keep double/triple/quadruple clicking all the time and I'm not gonna buy another one with that kind of quality. Edit: I opened up my Storm and it turns out that the three switches that are malfunctioning are all ttc switches, what a fucking coincidence. I also found out that the m1 and m2 are Omron D2FC-F-7N switches and it seems like the G100s is using the same.It looks like I've found my next mouse. In terms of stiffness I wouldn't say they're overly stiff or loose, though the scroll wheel does require a little more force. The issue I have/had is that the sw2 felt pretty soggy or unresponsive. This is because the travel distance from the shell actuator to the switch is too long, and so I had too much room where the sw2 would move, but not activate the switch. I've remedied this by putting painting tape on the shell's contact point to shorten the distance. Skylit mentioned that swapping out the g100 top plate also fixed his issue with this as well.
However, if you are a low sens fps gamer I would not recommend this mouse. Problem is that the the malfunction rate is very close to the max ips of the mouse and so I would quite often in QL or CS do some sort of fast twitch or rotation movement only to have the cursor bug out on me. It didn't matter if I was on a hard pad or not, I could consistently make this mouse malfunction. Granted I am a close to 90cm/360° guy, but if you are going to hit speeds around 2.3-3m/s consistently, you will probably have more than a little issue with the mouse. That being said, I've found it pretty good for SC so far. I need more time with it though to make a more informed decision, so I'll say its ok for now.

The buttons don't feel quite as nice as my Mionix Naos 3200 or Razer Abyssus did (The only 2 gaming mice I've had for reference), but the ergonomics of the mouse makes up for this x1000. I sold my Naos 3200 to go back to fingertip grip and I'm glad I did. The tracking seems excellent at 1750 DPI and I love how you can increase/decrease it in increments of 250 (Min 250 max 2500). My gripe about the buttons is the only one, and it's a totally minor one. The ergos are way better than the Naos 3200 (Apples vs oranges though) and also much better than the Abyssus. I like how the front of the mouse curves in toward the mouse buttons whereas the Abyssus doesn't.
So yeah ultimately I haven't really had too many mice to compare it to, but I can still say without a doubt that I love it.

Hey I need a recommendation for a new mouse. I've read through the OP and a few reviews and I'm still deciding on a few. I just had my 3rd Razer Deathadder die on me, and I think it's time for a new mouse. I really like the Razer Deathadder, so I'm looking for a similar mouse. I would prefer a mouse with a similar shape but with no side buttons, or at least side buttons that are less in the way. Maybe something a bit lighter and smaller will also be good. I'm currently looking at the SS Kinzu. Anyone have any other recommendations?

So about the SteelSeries Sensei [RAW]... It is 30€ cheaper than the standard Sensei (which I take it is a good mouse?). What exactly is the difference? Just missing driver functions? I hardly ever use that stuff anyway.^^
Alternatively I'm thinking about the Tt eSPORTS Saphira, which is a lot cheaper. I'll try to find a shop where you can try it. Can anybody tell me something about it/recommend it?

has anybody ever used a vertical mouse for gaming?
basically i have had wrist/finger and ellbow pain for a long time and went to a doctor, he told me i should buy a vertical mouse as i have tendonitis, hypermobilitysyndrom and reactive arthritis, in other words my hands are dying and many of his patients have confirmed it reduces the pain a lot

You could try to buy a very light mouse and use a very low sensitivity (set your mouse below 1000 CPI). If that doesn’t help you can still get a vertical mouse (which by the way are rather expensive).

Hello! I'm a Masters SC2 player and I'm looking to buy a new mouse. I really have no knowledge at all as to which are the better products so I am looking for some guidance. I'm still using a 4 year old mouse that I got free with a laptop bag
1. What's your grip style? Palm. 2. What's your sensitivity? Medium-High 3. What's your maximum budget? $200 4. Do you want additional buttons? Unsure 5. What games do you play? Starcraft 2 mostly, may look into shooters (CS, TF2) 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Don't know what this is 7. Other relevant information: Looking for a sturdy mouse with longevity. A friend recommended a Razor mouse but I hear they have problems. Use is mostly for gaming, I require comfort and precision (especially with the left and right click) most. Don't really care for fancy features (wireless, etc).
Thanks! Any recommendations would be helpful.

Can you get to any store where you can try some of them out? I'd recommend the new Deathadder personally, I had the old 1800 dpi one and it lasted me 4 years and still works fine, but I felt it was a bit too worn out. The build quality from the 2013 version is light years ahead. The Sensei and Sensei raw are very decent too. Finally the Zowie mice are all fairly decent, the AM is my favourite of the bunch but it might be a little small for some people.

Thanks for the reply, Rockafella
I'm not sure. I live in the UK, which I forgot to mention, but I think PC World has a few good ones in stock but not sure if I can try them there. I'm willing to spend money on a mouse but I want it to be a worthwhile purchase, that will last a while.
Would the DeathAdder 2013 version be a safe bet then? I've had a look at that and the Sensei ones. But I'm unsure as to what the difference I am paying for is other than brand (on similar models). Again, grip and comfort is a priority for me. I'm just worried about a mouse getting defective after 6 months or so.

There's a Logitech Mini Optical for sale on ebay, shipping only in Germany. Will probably pick it up if only for the sake of collection

Yeah I'm from the U.K. too, Asda had a bunch of reaaaaaaaally cheap SteelSeries products going.
http://direct.asda.com/SteelSeries-Sensei-Raw-Mouse---PC/003779566,default,pd.html
This has been out of stock since March but I picked one up around then and it's ace but I prefer the shape of the Deathadder personally as I'd gotten so used to it and found a 2013 very cheap. Maybe email them to see if they are getting any more stock in.
I'd honestly shop around a little. The Logitech g400 is only 23£ in PCWorld at the moment and is a solid mouse for the price, plus I'm sure you could try it out in store to see if it fits your hand.
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/pc-accessories/pc-gaming-accessories/gaming-mice/logitech-g400-optical-gaming-mouse-11358327-pdt.html
Also have you got a mousemat? Definately worth investing in a decent one too.
(Finally the Deathadder is what I'd recommend but in the U.K. it is very pricey if you buy it from retailers, honestly a little overpriced for what is a very solid mouse.
I managed to pick mine up for 40£ off eBay, you're budget is pretty big so I guess price isn't an issue but.. this auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Razer-Deathadder-2013-4G-Gaming-Mouse-/261198473372?pt=UK_Computing_Other_Computing_Networking&hash=item3cd0a4689c has only 2 days left if you wanna try and snag one, my friend ended up buying his Deathadder off Amazon but I saved this just in case he was short on cash)

looking to get the Logitech g700, any known problems with this mouse?
also, is there any big difference between the newer and older model, as the newer model is $30 more than the older one, and I am wondering if the big price difference is warranted.
Thanks for the help in advance:D
Also, how does this mouse compare to the Razer Mamba in terms of quality and performance?

I'll try here too Hi, I bought Logitech g400 few days ago and right button is easier to click while left button seems higher and louder. Is that normal for g400 model, or should I return it? Please remember that it's brand new mouse so it didn't appear after weeks or months of using. Also difference between left and right button isn't big, left button is just a little bit harder to press but my "progamer's fingers" can feel this little difference. Or am i too oversensitive?

Pretty sure its faulty, mine require the same amount of force and make the same sound.

Maybe you could use a vertical mouse for working and a normal mouse for playing.

640dpi is medium-high on a resolution like 1366x768

On April 18 2013 18:05 Cyro wrote: 640dpi is medium-high on a resolution like 1366x768 You’re right. Nowadays most players do have 1920×1080 though.
If you don’t have 1920×1080 ramon you could lower your CPI to 400.

anybody know how to set death adder to 450dpi ?
