i've got a G15 (the first version, the blue one, basically G11 with a screen) and it's wonderful, however i've had it since the release (which is what? like 5-6 years back?) and it's kinda starting to give up on me i lose control with the buttons starting to get a bit wobbly and not stay where they should and sometimes locking up, time to buy a new keyboard. as it looks now it'll probably be a G11 since i want those high keys, proper quality and back lighting since i usually play pretty dark.

Took a while to get used to the key layout (compared to my old keyboard the size is somewhat off. I can't explain it, but I missed some keys for a week..until my hit rating got up again xD) Only downside is that the driver doesn't remember the backlight setting and defaults to on, but not a big deal.


But I would really like to try out a mechanical keyboard once. People treat them like the §$%$ing holy grail. I just can't imagine how they can be that much better or how it must feel..I guess people who own mechanical keys know the taste of unicorn bacon too, 'cause it must be magic.. xD

I'd love to experiment with mechanical keyboards some day, but it's not as feasible when you have to make sure to get a Mac layout with a command key and such. I know some of the more expensive ones let you do that (or at least let you pop it out yourself with a provided replacement key), but, as a college student, I only have so much money (yeah yeah, I know, this keyboard was $75, but a Filco or something is half again as much).

I wouldn't recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for a mechanical one for a low price ($50-$60). Spend the extra money and get yourself a FILCO or any other brand of higher quality which is what I plan on doing once I get refunded.

Now to decide..do I want to stick with the blues or go with the browns...leaning towards the blues again since I liked the clickyness :3
